Pathetic isn’t it? If that was Maine Road, the sellers would be threatened to the point that they’d put them all away and never see one at any game ever again.

Have you ever seen one at Anfield? I never have. Makes me think Spirit of Shankley worked to get the club to stop selling them and/or threats were made to get the sellers to stop selling them.

Also:
Well done Chavs.

They only banned them to protect their trademark though mate, nowt to do with what fans think they did it for.

If the chavs were getting a cut of the action they'd be all over this.
Here was me reading it thinking they've used the "trademark" as a way around of stopping them selling stuff like this outside stadiums, I'd say it's difficult to find ways around stopping this sort of thing.

Obviously you are also correct, They've done it to protect themselves and sales in the clubshop. I'm still happy with it though, Half and Half should be banned full stop. It was actually last the City v Bayern game the QF of the Champions League a lad was in the clubshop going absolutely mental the club selling half and half in the store.

I must look it up, But I'm 99% sure Liverpool have some sort of agreement with stalls outside the ground that they get a percentage of their sales. I read about it last season that they have to go through some sort of protocol with the club to be allowed outside to trade.

Can't stand those scarves mate and they are an abomination. Watch this space though because football clubs couldn't give a fuck they'll introduce their own version of them soon enough even though they said they wont.

City 100% sold half and half the day against Bayern, I seen it with my own two eyes, I couldn't believe it.

Being honest, The stalls aren't like years ago either as in "Ah I'll get a cheap hat here', They charge £15 on some of them!

As you said half and half is a complete abomination, Anywhere wearing one shouldn't be allowed in the ground.

People pay money for their ticket, Yes leave 5 mins before half time go get a hot dog or leave on the 85th min to go home (Not something I'm into) but they paid their money so it's their choice. Just please don't buy a half and half ffs.

Extra segregation.

That looks the exact same as the regular segregation to me, they always have that blue sheet covering a seat or 2. Am I missing something?

Although there will definitely be more police there than usual

A lot of tourists about today wearing half and half scarves. Sad to see when genuine blues who have been going for years have missed out on today's game.
Quite a few people with local accents and wearing City shirts also wore half 'n' half scarves. They aren't all tourists, though they are all fucking stupid.

I hope City also clamp down on half and halfs.

No entry into the ground with one.

The perimeter of the Etihad is full of hawkers selling them.

Especially at the top of the Metrolink steps.
they are all the way along ashton new road from asda to past the away car park, and have been for years selling un official shite.
it's not ending anytime soon

Thought the atmosphere was on a par with the game, flat as fuck. We need a spark and we need it badly
Was okay nothing electric, have to say the away end was mute as fuck until 88 so what does that tell you. Could have been worse could have been better. If we had got a second would of been amazing oh well

Not saying this because the Rags scraped a win from City’s mistakes, but United’s support in SSL1 was absolutely shocking. A few chants throughout the match, and standing in silence for the majority of the match until the 88th minute goal.
