Atmosphere 2024/25

Just out of interest wrt your master plan to create a “commanding SSL2/3” what are you proposing to do with the 2 blocks of Legends Lounge hospitality seats slap bang in the middle of SSL2? Do you think the club will move the Legends Lounge?
No.

Shift the away fans to 110/111, puy City fans in SS2 and increase the footfall, revenue and profit in Legends.

Additionally, my 'master plan' will also increase the stadium capacity by ? X100s ? by virtue of reduced segregation zones.

Indeed.

Love hearing ‘We…love…you…City, we do’ at the end of this clip. Away end full of proper Blues. A chant that had, annoyingly, very nearly disappeared from our song book until the last few weeks where’s it’s made a return!

Our away end sounded mint today. I wonder why its not like this when are playing at Anfield, Emirates etc
Because we are in shit seats with shit acoustics at those and other grounds, which is why i promote the changes to the set up in SSL3/2 & ESL110/111.

The location/position of home/away fans plays a huge part in generating an atmosphere.

Don't underestimate it !!

I understand your point and its logic.

However, many of the guys i know want to stay in SSL3 due to travel logistics/ convenience.

Establishing a commanding SSL 3/2 whilst shifting away fans down to inferior seats with poor views and acoustics, will be an important first step in a 'Two End' atmospheric stadium.

Imo, NS will attract some fans from most other parts of the stadium ,with or without 1894s involvement, along with new ticket holders, subject to seating, prices and conditions being attractive and our team continuing to be attractive & successful.

Two ends are better than one !!
I completely agree with your point on the surface, I just wonder if trying to create two large home ends straight away will be likely to dilute each end.

Take the new NSL2 + SSL2/3, your looking at nearly 20,000 seats. Whilst that sounds amazing, I'm not sure if it's realistic in the short term.

I think a good start would be getting NSL2 established as a home end, and potentially adding some safe standing to the back of SSL3

Mmm all very tenuous arguments IMO (why would more people go in Legends?) and a lot of disruption just to make the away fans louder, more coordinated and much more prominent on the TV. Anyway I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree, as it won’t happen, so we’ll never know……

But the configuration of our loud and proud away fans today (corner pitch side) is exactly what you’re proposing to create for away fans at the Etihad?

We take a lot of crap about our home atmosphere and beat ourselves up about it too, but that was shocking from Leicester today. They're fighting at the bottom of the league, they're playing the champions at home who are in poor form, they're only a goal down and they're playing alright and having chances. Yet for 80-90% of the game all you could hear was City fans.

Well done to all blues who went, I've said it before and I'll say it again, our away support at it's best is unmatched by anyone.

We were in the same position in a corner at the King Power today, making an absolute racket as one mass of fans, as you want to put them in the Etihad.

Away fans are in the perfect spot at the Etihad. There hasn’t been a decent set of away fans come to ours for years, because they’re disjointed due to being split up in a thin slither across three tiers and none of the tiers are ever singing the same song at the same time as any of their other tiers.

We don’t want to be putting away fans into one area where they’ll be one big voice at the Etihad.
