Attacks in Paris

I agree however multiculturalism in my opinion is part of the problem especially in France where more integration is desperately needed
Wouldn't disagree and I think this is one reason that there has been very little US domestic terrorism. France is handicapped by not acknowledging much of the separatism exists as everyone is equal.

Im confused, you say that "liberals" dont want the govt to snoop on them, but yet suggest that they advocate CCTV. Isnt CCTV another form of snooping?

Last night doesnt prove that the threat wasnt exagerrated, it just proves that there are nutters out there who will do their best to wreak havoc. As has been mentioned earlier, you're more likely to win the lottery than be killed in one of these "
It says they don't accept cctv and you honestly beleive that last nights events are not a sign of the size of the threat ?

Stop patting each other on the back. I don't see many Christians blowing them selves up in European cities in the name of religion. So the point you keep repeating is not that relevant.
Not now thankfully after murdering around the world for a millenia , Christianity has been through an enlightenment. Christians don't need to do it as Judao , Christian countries have enough drones , bombers, cruise missiles etc to do anything they need to do. But Brevik did something not dissimilar to protect white Christianity .

What point? The point that you defeat an enemy by fighting that enemy ? As opposed to fighting anyone who might look like that enemy , be related to that enemy or be near that enemy?

And you just carry on burying your head in the sand and spouting utter drivel while people are being machine gunned, blown out of the air, beheaded, burned alive in cages, thrown off buildings, tied to pillars of ancient temples and blown up and every other manner of death that these maniacs can dream up because in your world everything is sweetness and light, it fucking isn't you cretin

no in my world we have an evil brutal enemy to defeat , to do that we need to understand that enemy, we need to isolate that enemy, we need to defeat the cause of that enemy and tackle it root and branch.

What is your easy simple solution ?

I would suggest from the posts on here I hate IsIS are far more my enemy as they are attacking liberal ideals , something you seem to also be doing.

Stop talking bollox. Go and paint a picture or something. At least you acknowledge that Christianity is enlightened when compared to Muslim extremists.

This was an attack on liberalism, this was an attack on multiculturalism , an attack on tolerance, an attack on the young. Everything about the venues and the people was an attack on liberalism. They didn't attacks the wealthy, the colonial, the bigots or the right.

It is a horrible sad irony that so many individuals come on here to attack liberalism in the name of defeating people attacking liberalism.
As you rightly say a key terrorist target is the multicultural society and those who also attack it from the prejudiced and intolerant perspective exhibited on here are their unwitting allies.

The best point I can make re the Christian whataboutism is that there are Christians in Gaza. Christian Palestinians/Arabs. They're a small minority but they are there.

Why has a Christian Arab from the Gaza Strip never blown themselves up on a bus in Israel?

They have just as much reason to hate Israel, and wish to fight Israel as the Sunni Muslim Arabs in Gaza.

Could it be because that religious doctrine and text can, and does, have real world consequences?

Religious belief can effect, and can influence, human behaviour?

Who'd have thought it.

Moronic comparisons once.

Of course said sectarianism added another poisonous layer to the conflict, but it wasn't a central tennant of why there was conflict and war. To suggest it was is dishonesty of the most contemptible kind.
Of course sectarianism played a central part in what happened in Ireland. Yes, there was a political movement that believed in a united Ireland orior to the Troubles and there was an IRA. You're right in that respect. But the clear catalyst for the violence that broke out was the discrimination against the Catholic minority in Northern Ireland by the Protestants.

And it's actually a good analogy as there were two groups who were nominally Christian (in the same way that people talk about Muslims as a homogeneous entity) but actually could barely co-exist. The anti-Catholic rhetoric from the Protestant extremists like Paisley was horrifying. That wasn't political; it was pure religious hatred. That led to increasing violence between the two communities and the introduction of the Army to try to maintain order. Of course, the use of military force to solve a political & religious issue went the same way as it usually does and made things worse rather than better.

All the elements were there but it was sectarianism that lit the blue touch paper.
