Clearly every game (if we do well) is going to be 52k plus in the league. Impressive.
Worsley your our resident seat counter what happened to the attendance last night when it should have been a record with no segregation etc ?Clearly every game (if we do well) is going to be 52k plus in the league. Impressive.
My understanding was the game sold out in two hoursAnyone any idea why it was such a poor attendance for the rugby yesterday 50,770?
Know it was a dead rubber but thought it sold out years ago .
Was expecting a new stadium record to be set
Wonder if they counted people in the ground not tickets sold?
Still seems odd to have nearly 4000 empty seats for a game that sold out so soon and only became a dead rubber last week.My understanding was the game sold out in two hours
However it seems the RFU kept most tickets back and released them through their club structure
I was talking to a guy on the train from London yesterday and he was taking his son, and he had bought them through his club, although he was told they didn't have an adult and child together, but he could buy two adults together (try explaining that one RFU) so it cost him £175 per ticket for a friendly!
The most annoying thing was I asked him if he was staying over with the game ending so late?
No, he says, they've put on extra trains to take people back!!!!
Ffs when we played Wigan and Scum at Wembley there were no extra fucking trains put on and there was a lot more of us going down than the handful who had come up from London yesterday.
Clearly the message is, if the game's held in London it's for Londoners, and if it's held in Manchester it's for Londoners, and we just get fucking screwed over
If City sell the tickets they are counted as attendance whether you turn up or notStill seems odd to have nearly 4000 empty seats for a game that sold out so soon and only became a dead rubber last week.
Wonder if they were going to try and screw the punters and release the extra tickets at inflated prices if England had something to play for and ended up getting stuck with them ? Or were the first three rows covered up or something ? Just seems very odd
My thoughts exactly at least the record attendance will be for a city game nowIf City sell the tickets they are counted as attendance whether you turn up or not
Either the RFU didn't sell out all the tickets, or they counted those who turned up only
I fully expected a near 55,000 capacity, but I'm glad it wasn't
I'm glad about that, was pleased when someone posted the attendance was about 50,000My thoughts exactly at least the record attendance will be for a city game now

That would make a lot of senseNot sure how true it is but I heard that after England got knocked out last week some fans returned their tickets for a refund. Would make sense I suppose as I doubt they would've been able to re-sell too many dead rubber tickets at those prices.
