We will have more fans there than Chelsea (who've just won the Champions League). City fans should stop worrying about what people say about our attendances.
Apart from United fans in their songs, in the pub and in the media, nobody else ever says anything about our attendances.

I don't think we sold out at Everton last season, there were no threads calling people out to get to the game and nobody anywhere commented on it.

Its nothing to do with what others think! Its about showing support for the champions of England! Yes the cost is expensive and yes most loyal blues have enough to shell out over the season, but don't for minute think this game is not important. I would hate to think we are getting apathetic about ANY chance of seeing us win a trophy no matter how trivial it may be. Lets not forget how much just a few short years ago we would only dream of playing in the community shield. So to the OP I back your rallying cries " Come on blues, lets support our champions on August 12th". If you can afford it!!!!
What a crock of shit !!!!! It's a bleeding friendly, did you go to Wolfsburg ? No coz it means fuck all

Well I can't go because I stupidly booked a holiday flying out day before ... and got stung exactly the same way last year too - watched that game on the t'internet from a hotel room in USA, will probably have to do the same again this year :-(

I'm just glad it's not at Wembley cos our attendance would be embarrassing

No, just tell any rags that comment on it going to open sale how all City fans thought we wouldn't be playing in it when Fred Done paid out on them winning the league, so we all booked the weekend away instead.

Slightly off-topic, but I'm middle class, and a bastard because I live stateside and won't be able to attend.

However, wanted to check if the San Francisco group would be at the pub in North Beach again so I can join a group of fellow Blues to watch this time?

I've got to head to SFO around lunchtime anyway to pick up my family from Korea so would love to join in if the supporters club is organizing again.

PM me if you know more.

What a crock of shite, you forgot to mention China and Malaysia. It's not really a friendly is it it's the traditional opener to the English Football season, which has been played for donkeys years.

Received a tweet from City saying only restricted view remaining. So should be a sell out .See you in the Square Peg (spoons) in Brum
Bring on the CHAMP16NS

Not arsed if we dont sell out a friendly game tbh.

P.s Yes I am going but if I didnt get 20 quid tickets I wouldnt have bothered
