I have built up my points total over the years by, up to 4 yrs ago, going to every game I could, home, away & overseas. When I was taken ill 4 yrs ago I had to curtail my match going, especially to Euro aways. I now have to restrict my PL away games so pick & choose.
It appears that this might be frowned on in some circles.

I am not & never have been, a points ‘whore’. This Christmas I was away in Canada & missed 4 home matches. I wrote to the club & asked if I could upgrade my ticket so a friend could use it. Apart from that every point I have I have earned. Therefore I think that gives me the right to pick & choose which away games I go to, when I have enough points to buy them! I’m going to Burnley tomorrow & I have a ticket for Brighton.

I apologise to those who may feel that I shouldn’t because I haven’t attended very many away games this season but that is the way the cookie crumbled!

Next season I’ll be falling down the pecking order because I’ll probably go to even less away games but that is life I’m afraid.

Been tracking the sellouts for a few months now. Done this as I'm bored with people saying they can't go to any aways due to the points system. Clearly a big lie. There were others before I started tracking that went to general sale. Some massive games going to general sale. Also having this tracked, you can spot liars. When we played Everton away a few months ago, there was a city fan on Everton's forum saying he wished that he could go but couldn't as didn't have enough points. - Clearly lying.

If anyone can tell me how to upload an image I'll put it up so you can have a look.

There's been over a dozen away games this season that have gone right down to general sale, people still love to moan though.

There is an issue with away games against the top 6 though, and probably others such as Burnley and usually Everton if it's not midweek. Where fans with high points are missing out due to an increase in corporate or people creaming tickets off to tourists. This does need addressing as the club keeps growing, it's going to lead to unsavoury scenes in the stands. I saw a group of older Middle Eastern fellas at Arsenal 2 years ago, holding up a Pep Out banner, seriously.

Turning into the United 'I can't get a ticket' syndrome. If you're willing to put the miles in at midweek games then there's always scope for tickets. The bigger issue is decent fans getting screwed over for the big games, guys who do put the miles in or have done over the past 15 years.

I wouldn't worry. People know the truth.I am just short of the high points bracket but have managed around 12 aways this season & haven't took advantage of all general sale!!!!.I have my son much lower but he has been to 9 aways. We just have to pick the games available to us when we can make it but accept we will never get to Utd Liverpool etc again unless its a cup game with a larger allocation. Thats life.

It's not always about putting the miles in though

Lots of lads/lasses refused to pay the Platinum vs Gold points buying. Now they are miles behind.

I also didnt agree with that aspect of season cards.
