Away tickets

‘Hello is that Man United? City here ... we’re trying to inconvenience our fans as much as possible for no reason at all. Any chance we could use your ticket office for the away derby so we can make them queue up for their tickets? Yeah your lot can pelt them with bricks. Nice one’

For away tickets United used to insist on checking of a few hundred tickets a game but relaxed that last season to a much smaller number. Either they got lucky with the ones they were checking or they knew what they were looking for but it seems virtually all the tickets they checked were passed on by the original purchaser. But you can pass on away tickets to named individuals with the club’s permission.
Interesting.

Sure I heard it somewhere, haven’t read the full details other than the release on the site and what’s on here. Someone from city matters will probably know.
They won’t having a fucking clue pal, that’s pretty evident !!

Tbh it sounds like the tickets won’t be with you until five days before, which means you won’t have the tickets in hand to return if you can’t go.
For instance Bournemouth 2-00pm ko
The earliest you can get there is 13-26 on the train it’s a good 20-25 min walk from the station then you have to collect your ticket
Anymore good ideas city matters team !!!
Thanks for you’re input

If there’s somebody out there now on say 16000 points who’s 26, he has zero chance of getting a ticket for any game other than a midweek game with travel difficulties, and can never catch up despite doing a lot of games to get that total. Meanwhile, some new seasoncard holder has an opportunity to get a ticket for any game because he happens to be 18-25

I guarantee by next season you’ll get people buying a 18-25 cheap season ticket with the intention of selling it on just so they can get themselves into the 150 ticket category. They can sell on the United and Liverpool home game to a tout website and make their money back if they’re struggling to recoup costs.

“The following groups will receive an allocation of tickets for this match: Supporters, Seasonal Hospitality Supporters, Football Management, Players, Club Partners and the MCFC Supporters Club.“
That’s the message from the ticket info for West Ham so why have these new changes only been enforced on the bit in bold? We’ve been totally screwed here and the one voice we have to express our disapproval are the voices that didn’t oppose any of it.
This is the nub of the issue.
Supporters, and we have a Supporters Rep, who was a member of a different category on that list, ‘the MCFC Supporters Club’.
So a member of the latter group has a voice and made a decision about the first group. Where is our representation?

Another scenario is supporter A is told 5 days before the game he needs to collect his ticket.
On the way to the ground his car breaks down/gets stuck in traffic/has family emergency (take your pick) he doesn't collect his ticket.
Will the club therefore assume he never intended to go and was intending to pass on and ban him?

They have history of banning people without any attempt to seek explanations
Which is why I’m not going to even bother.
They have the worst domestic banning record in the league.

Changes to an aside for a moment, why do city fans think it’s been harder and harder to get tickets to away matches in recent years?

I’ve been a season card holder for nearly 20 years. About 5-6 years ago I could easily get away tickets to everywhere bar United and maybe a couple of other aways. However I’m lucky now to have enough points to get a ticket at West Ham away. So why is that? Consequence of our success? Points system failing? More corporate?

I personally have no idea but it was clear something needed to be done.
