He is world-class, but the problem is he doesn't want to be a backup. He deserves to be a starter at an elite club, IMO. I wish it was more so with us, but if we can't give it to him, hopefully, some other club will.

At the very least this news might smoke out a few suitors who up until now have been waiting in the wings to get him on loan!

£40m in todays market is more than fair for a player of his calibre.
