Baconface given £60M transfer kitty?

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson given 60M transfer kitty?

They were never going to go into freefall as a fair few City fans thought.
They may not win the league for the next few seasons but imo they'll be a top 3 or 4 side

I'm probably going to get a lot of abuse now, but I honestly get the impression that Manure are going to be the next club to be taken over. Before you all laugh, something's gone on behind the scenes and I honestly don't think Ferguson has made the whole thing up. It's very bizarre. Rooney to change his mind like that speaks volumes really, and has just left me wondering whether they've got a potential buyer! Eek! x

The Glazers can only sell, due to their other commitments, if they get >£1.5B this is way in excess of the true value, on top of that the team probably needs £100M+ so only a really mega rich buyer with a lot of spare cash can even contemplate. There is also the issue of Slur Alex Fergiscum and how much longer he has left. So all in all i doubt your theory

Back to Rooney, they have obviously made him promises to invest in the squad. I reckon they can spend about £20M a year, and there will be no bond costs to finance next year. So with the sale of a few players here and there they will be a able to give saf some money to spend. Problem they have as I said earlier they need about £100M to refresh a squad that has been ageing for awhile, also doubt they will have the funds to pay the salaries that the players then need will demandSo not looking good IMHO to keep the promises.

Exactly. They wouldn't he as bouncy if they had to spill the beans about an exit clause of £60 million which I have on good authority is in the new contract and was I believe the deciding factor in Rooney signing. How long before Evra (easily there best player), wants more and Vidic also has a buyout clause of £25million in his contract, which I think means he will be staying. Its simple, if we achieve champions league football, then as well as out bidding them we can offer the same level playing conditions to the players. So it really doesn't change anything, infact bacon face even admitted that the great lure scum utd couldn't persuade his chosen player to "leave his country", which is criptic, for "He knew we are broke and lie through our teeth", so lets just see come August 2011, where Rooney will be.

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson given 60M transfer kitty?

I don't think it will pan out quite as most of us think it will. You see with rooney's people forcing the scum into a position they were uncomfortable with they had to do something drastic. If rooney had gone in January there would have been big trouble from their so called fans. The situation of him playing in a team that he doesn't think is worthy of him and surrounded by so much hatred would have proved impossible, destabilising the team and making the whole situation worse. Add to all that his diminishing value as his contract runs down something had to be done for all sides to save face. I believe that a short term arrangement has been made covered by a so called five year contract. Rooney gets the money he wants for the time being although the scum can't afford it, baconface looks like a saviour and hero to the fans and the Glazers still keep control of the cash cow without more trouble. In 6 - 12 months Rooney will be on his way to a club who will have to pay at least what his new contract says, the scum will have a lengthy contract in force and therefore can demand more money and fergie will claim it is good business compared to what it would have been and the Glazers smile on and start to draw some of the money that they have hardly taken yet. This is my 58th season of watching and supporting my beloved blues and I have never felt so excited and expectant than I am now the future is definately BLUE enjoy.

We can make sure that every signing they make costs them more than they want to pay...whether we want them or not.

It doesn't bother me either, in fact it's just laughable. Where's that money gonna come from?

Wondered that too. Also, is this £60 million in addition to the £80 million from the Ronaldo sale that Purple Nose would have us believe has been burning a hole in his pocket for so long, or is this £80 been reduced to £60..

Its bollocks to appease the fans and Rooney. The owners got what they wanted. They have convinced Rooney to sign a five year contract just so they can command a higher transfer fee next summer IMO.

Just hope nobody bids for him.

INCLUDING US.......

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson given 60M transfer kitty?

that's £60m towards their debt repayments that's had to be put forward.

They can't buy Sneijder in Jan cos he can't play in the CL, not that even wanted to move to them last summer...

Rooney will probably come back and score against us and everything will be rosy again...for about 6 months.

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson given 60M transfer kitty?

City are playing a blinder with them, we made them pay more for Berbaflop, now spending more on Rooney, the best thing is City don't have to do a thing, the press do it for us, just the mention of Cities interest sends the price of their targets soaring, all adding to their slow decline

I would have agreed with you 12 months ago, but not now. Chelski are strong, we are getting stronger, gooners are strong, spuds are solid and certainly we will see in 2 weeks if they can match the rags, so I feel there are 5 teams capable of getting into the top 4 I believe chelski, gooners and us are in there and 1 more from spurs and the rags. If this season ends up with a top 4 that doesn't include the rags, then where do they go? It will be £30 million in revenue lost, we musn't concern ourselfs with anything other than winning each game as it comes along, but it must have crossed peoples minds that the spuds might now have a better squad than the rags and that we have a better squad then gooners, rags and the spuds. Freefall could happen by simply drifting out of the top 4 then as liverpool have shown, its bloody hard to get back in with out major player investment, which is expensive without 4 bidding monsters to compete against, with 4 bidding monsters to compete against it becomes hugely expensive, look at us, we have had to play catch, so I would say that firstly I believe Rooney will go in the summer (and the money will go towards the debt), but say he doesn't, they would be looking at needing about £150 million to rebuild the team, the spuds will qualify for the next stage this year, so if they finish with us in the top 4 again, they will have champions league football, the london factor and about £50-60 million to top up there squad. It is possible that they won't finish in the top 4 If the rags finish out of the top 4 there not coming back any time soon and that will bring about the biggest fall from grace since, well since the bin dippers!

I agree with some of what you say mate but personally i think Utd still have the players to do very well this season, especially if Rooney finds last seasons form.
Any side with the likes of Evra, Vidic, Wio, Rooney, Berbatov, Giggs & Scholes will still be a huge threat imo.
I'm not trying to big them up, i just don't see them struggling like some on here.
