Ball boys need training

I also noticed this yesterday, Plus the goalkeeper wasting so much time the referee should of booked him, I watched the clock for the corner that they scored from it took 28 seconds from the ball going out till they took it must of been about the same for every goal kick. Getting back to the ball boys I remember against the scum the ball boy gave it straight to a United player and they scored the ball boy got a roasting for being to fast,

Are some of you blaming the ballboys for yesterday? Ffs
Why dont you get a grip and remember our back 4 gave West Ham a 2 goal start

This has been annoying me for some time and yesterday highlighted the need to have lads that can do the job properly. .Does anyone else feel the same? Even the players were getting frustrated joe hart ran 50 yards to throw the ball down the line at one point as the ball boy was very slow in getting to the ball.. it was a bit of a double whammy yesterday west ham wasting time and our ball boys doing the same.
We got beat, they did a number on us first half and defended like hero's in the second, fucking nazi trained ball balls and a ref who could see straight wouldn't of made a difference.

Except no one on this thread has blamed the ball boys for yesterdays loss . Some people think that we could improve things by getting the ball back more quickly when it gets out of play, I am not sure why this opinion seems to agitate some.

City fan
This thread is crass to say the least
As some one said
We are looking for a scapegoat
Tbh it doesnt matter. How quick it gets returned as i said we gave West ham a 2 goal start with poor defending so for some to criticise ball boys is barmy to say the least!

It's a little petty but bang on, they were so slow yesterday.

I think that the ball boys/ girls was keeping up the standard the players was playing at in the first half

also I might be wrong but other grounds they have the ball boys/girls standing in front of the boards, ours are other side of boards and playing on there phones

I thought it was a bit harsh blaming Jesus for yesterday's disaster. How much lower than that could we go? Blame the ballboys!

However if it's true then maybe we should get the ballboy trainer in from SW19.

Seeing as though this seems to be a whinge thread. What the hell has happened to the bar service around block 110/111. I used to leave at 38 mins past and never had trouble getting a beer, no they seem to be on a go slow. I was 3rd in line and it took me 15 mins to get my hands on a pint. This has happened each game this season and is causing havoc. A lad who was in front of me said he used to work behind the bar and was on watch at all times, if the service was slow and stock not in place he would be crucified, he has noticed there is no leadership or anything these days.

Pete no one has tried to scapegoat the ball boys. Incidentally to losing the match it was noted that there were times when it took a long time to retrieve the ball at throw ins.
Aside from the appearance of being slightly shoddy it also disadvantages the team with the throw in as it potentially gives the other team more time to arrange their defence and reposition. As on average we probably have more attacking throw ins it probably disadvantages us.
It is not a huge issue but is within the clubs remit to alter.
No one has had a tirade against the ball boys or suggested that their actions caused us to lose (as opposed to Navas, Bony Aguero , Pellegrini et al) There is just a suggestion that it can be done better how this is crass I fail to see.

Because there are some mouth breathers on here who can never accept that things at the club can be criticised or improved.

West Ham would've just wasted the extra minutes gained. It's not about criticism/improvement, It's
the timing of threads like this. Always after a loss and everyone is pissed off.
So it's going to look like scapegoating.

Doesn't help that too few of the players speak English.

A grown man bellowing "chuck us the fuckin ball you slow-witted short-arse little twat" would surely see them get their act together?

We then get a few more minutes of game time, score loads more goals, win a few more games, lose even less. Winner.

Point taken but we all noticed it yesterday and commented on it during the game and clearly others did.

It was also mentioned on the Radio Manchester phone in on the way home. It's been an issue for years.

Perfectly valid topic, said it for a few years. At a lot of grounds they keep the away team under pressure by getting the ball back in quickly, ours faff about for ages...
