You don't think he deliberately stamped on him? I'm surprised. Don't get me wrong, the last thing I want to see is Balo getting another ban - but for me he stamped on him. Both in slow motion and at normal speed it looks for all the world like he did it deliberately. Of course we'll never know what went through his head at that exact moment - but it's not like Mario isn't prone to lashing out, which is part of the problem.

Any ideas when the FA decide on whether they're going to charge him ?

Don't be surprised mate, I've still got my blue tinted's on.....

;-)

There is fast becoming a new type of City fan, it's the "Stepford" City fan.

An android that is programmed to stay on message and mindlessly defend City.
You've made your position re Balo quite clear now Twinkles give it a rest now eh.

I just call it "city til I die".

You are in the desert, you see a tortoise lying on his back in the hot sun. You recognise his plight but do nothing to help. Why?

It's interesting to see so many RAWK comparisons by people. I don't recall seeing a 100 page thread on Johnson's 2 footed Ninja lunge on Lescott, saying that he should have been sent off, banned for 62 games, fined £1m and banished to the reserves for a year.

Mario may have meant it. He may not. That's the crux of the issue. We don't know. Yet the number of Blues calling for his head on a plate continues to astound. Some of you are the same ones who whine and moan incessantly when people point out the decisions AGAINST City and make sarcastic remarks and digs at those posters. It's fine for Rooney to blatantly elbow people in the face, Johnson to imitate a missile on Lescott, Huth to assault a City player, Delap to commit ABH on SWP, United players gang up and take turns at kicking lumps out of Silva / SWP etc., Adam to be allowed 14 fouls 'grace' before being booked, Skrtel to kung-fu kick Jo etc etc. There are several more examples if you care to look.

But hey, a City player MAY (note, may) have committed an offence and MAY have got away with it. Ignore the fact that he was stumbling. Ignore the fact that he has no idea where Parker is and does not look back once. Ignore the SHOVE from Modric which sends Balotelli off balance even more. Ignore the fact that Balotelli showed genuine concern immediately for Parker and goes to him. Ignore the fact that Webb (the FA's most prominent referee) looks at the incident (from a few yards away) and does not deem any further action necessary. Ignore the fact that Modric (who was inches away from Parker) does not even appeal for anything. Ignore the fact that Spurs players carry on with the game and NOT ONE Spurs player berates the referee or reacts as if something untoward has happened. Ignore all possibilities that Mario may be innocent.

Let's just go straight in for the kill.

Hang him.

Why arn't we all supporting Mario ? He stumbled, and had his back to Parker when he supposedly stamped on him. Parker shouldn't even have been on the pitch after his attack on Micah in the first half anyway. Because it's Mario you can expect a ban, just as you would if it was Barton. Anyone like 'saint scotty parker' would get away with it. If it was Scholes by the way, all these so-called experts would be saying it was a typica paul scholes tackle and that would be the end of it. Double standards as usual. They will probably ban Lescott as well for good measure.

This post for me pretty much sums up what is going on with Bluemoon at the mo!

Show of hands now - How many of you were lambasting RAWK and Liverpool in general for refusing to admit Suarez had done anything wrong and even standing by him?

The ironic thing is that both players will be off in the summer anyway, how many Blues will be defending Balotelli then?

I've only been on here a couple of months and arguing and disagreements is all that seems to go on here. I can't believe a good number of people believe it was intentional. All these people are doing is adding fuel to to the fire. If you look at the papers and listen to Talkshite, it's clear there's a witch-hunt on.

Standing there with a chip on your shoulder like a number of city fans do just makes us look small time!

There is no Witch Hunt, we were unlucky with Kompany getting a red on the pitch as once we had seen the studs up their was no way it would be rescinded in the "courtroom", letter of law a red, although common sense should have prevailed at the time - sadly it did not!

These things do even themselves out though, we got the luck yesterday, could have had 2 off, the only reason we had 4 mins injury time was because of us inflicting injuries on their players, then we get a pen in the dying seconds!

yes, the FA trawl internet forums to decide whether someone should be banned. And for the record, he knew exactly what he was doing.
Too bloody right the FA have guys trawling through internet forums, the media and players too. Never under-estimate the importance of the written word. Its even read by football managers.

-- Mon Jan 23, 2012 5:55 pm --

For a guy sitting on the fence regarding the incident you seem fairly convinced about Marios reaction being genuine.....

The guy looked guilty as sin and that fall to the floor and subsequent fondling of a stricken Parker on the floor was almost as bad acting as Rooney trying to win a penalty against Arsenal, or trying to get Song sent off for an imaginary elbow.......

Re: Balotelli Stamp V Spurs

Thanks for proving my point - Time to grow up me thinks

Re: Balotelli Stamp V Spurs

In isolation it looks to me like a stamp, the issue though is that there is so much going on right there that anyone that thinks they can figure out enough to over-turn the ruling at the time is either fooling themselves or bent...... So it goes without saying I will be shocked if a ban doesn't follow!!!

I've just paused it to fuck on sky+ from all the angles shown and I'm now of the opinion it wasn't intended. Oh and if Webb says he didn't see it he's a fuckin liar.
Once its been proven he's no case to answer the FA should sanction the fuck out of Twitcher.
This is now the crux of the matter. Will he give in and do a Clattenburg or say he saw it and took no action? Once again the whole integrity of the FA and officiating is being called into question. The question should be "what happened to consistency?"
