can anyone tell me what Balotelli has done bad this season (aside from 1 goal) - even the press have resorted to muck raking last season issues.

I think he's matured - soon be the best around.

He is a liability, no argument possible against that.
The problem is, if he was bagging goals for fun or improving our teamplay significantly, we could bare with it.
The situation is overwise.
Since his signing he's been averrage at most, hardly has any impact when on the pitch, his goal records the last two years speaks for itself.

In fact, i think guys like Anelka, Benzema or Drogba were already better than him at the same age and that he will never reach their level ( let's not even mention Et'oo, Raul, C. Ronaldo, Henry, Ibrahimovic, Inzaghi, Trezeguet ).

Although we will for ever be thankfull for that ultimate final pass on May 2012,
i think we should get ridd of him as soon as possible, before his market value drops down dramatically.

The management and the owners I would suggest beg to differ ZZ.

I think they would value him at a figure that only clubs like PSG , Barcelona , Manure and PERHAPS one or two others could afford.

Wasn't too long ago many of us were saying the same thing about Tevez.

What would his value be now if he was on a four year deal at the age of 28?

Don't get me wrong Balotelli needs to ask himself if he wants to make the sacrifices necessary to be have a stellar career at the top level at a successful club for the next 8 years or so and do the things neccessary that help him achieve that if that's what he wants to do.

Some people think he lacks the fortitude to do that and while he lacks consistency some much better judges of talent than you and I see enough in him to think he can.

Which is still a very acceptable goals per min (prem games) ratio, even if it is 4th best at the club.

[edit]It appears it's third best at the club and 10th best in premier league history.
Stop with yer damn facts! 10th best goalscorer in Premier League history as a 22 year old, not even good enough to be 4th striker for City...
Just a shame his stats are wrong :)

And dropping like a stone down the list.

Listen, unless you're sitting on some dynamite, I'm going to trust Opta stats quoted in numerous sources including mcfc.co.uk. I'm not going to work out the goals per minute ratio of every player in Premier League history.

So he's got the worst goals per min of our 4 strikers while they have all been at city
Yet he has the tenth best in the history of the prem league
8 goals a season at 151 mins a goal achieves that?

Ask the mother of his child if he has matured then say that again and mean it.

He has not even been to see his kid and told his ex "i don't care" when she called him to say she had given birth.

'I sent Mario a text message at 3pm when the first contractions started and then again at 6.30pm when I went into the delivery room. I sent him another as soon as I came out and Pia had been born.

'But he only bothered to get in touch at half past midnight when my phone rang.

'I said to him "Mario, I've given birth" and he just said "Ah OK, I'm not bothered" and he then put the phone down. I've not heard from him since.'

Direct quotes from his ex.

I say that is accutely indicative of him not maturing at all.

So why do you think he has, what reasoning have you used to come to this conclusion ?.

If i saw an improvement i would be pleased as punch but i just don't see it.

He has been dropped from the squad this season for being lazy and or poor attitude in training making him unavailable for matches.
This covers you asking about what he has done wrong this season.

So, you are questioning these Opta stats then?

Another laughable statement, what 1 thing gives you the impression he'll be the best around, what is this great attribute ?

Standard response, scored against the Rags, set up Aguero!

That's all you'll get - meanwhile people on the real planet watch Messi and Tranny score 50 goals in a season and wonder why the f@ck Balotelli is mentioned in the same breath.

He knows he is not and we know he is not but then again neither are any of the strikers in the premiership at the moment.

Like all footballers he has an ego and while he is a bit simpler than most in terms of what he says at times assuming he is being quoted correctly would you prefer if he is asked to rate himself he said I would love to be half as good as Jason Roberts will be at the age of 37.

Or maybe he's just a simpleton? Give me a Shaun Goater any day over this clown.

I was waiting for that :)
I'm more interested in stats for city tbh
You were waiting for the fact that Tevez's goal-scoring rates at other clubs affected his standing in an all-time list?

-- Wed Dec 19, 2012 6:58 pm --

He said only Messi of the GoldenBoy winners were better than him at 19. He was probably right.
