City should walk away from this deal now.

Why? This is probably what happens with 90% of deals, just that our is being played out in the press. Get a grip man.

LOL if we're suddenyl starting to try and be shrewd with our contract offersd

Now if only we'd done that with Bridge, kolo and crocky and co. Every fucker and his dog's on close to 100k a week or well over that in a lot of cases, talk about shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted

If we were willing to pay Robinho £160,000 a week then we should definitely be paying £88,000 for Balotelli.

The problem then lies in the "next signing", City would have offered "x" amount but the player will want "y" amount as he would know the last player sat tight and got a pay increase... It will never end. As good as he is City should say the deal is on the table if you want it sign, if you dont then good bye.
Yeh ok it's £18000 a week more give a take but times that by however many players we sign in the future and it starts to add up. We are rich but not stupid.

We've been bloody stupid already, the wages paid over the last year or two to the likes of Bridge and RSC are ridiculous

I wouldn't believe a word the Italian press fuckin say tbh; these are the same people that a few days ago said that the deal was done. In previous days for the mornings we have had good news but as the day progresses we have had bad news, now today we have started with bad news from the Italian media so maybe today we could end up with some good news e.g. 'Super Mario signs for City'.

So that is justification to carry on pissing cash up the wall? Yeh we fucked up in the past but why does that have to continue? It doesnt and shouldnt imo. And if the agent asked what any other player is on then City should tell him to fuck off and mind his own, it has nothing to do with anyone what we pay a current member of the team (daft or otherwise). City should be the ones in control not some jumped up agent who thinks he can have us over. The attitude of "just pay it" is a daft one, and anyone who says it does not understand business properly. Its about maximun input with minimum outlay, the best players for the best price we can agree without being screwed over!

It's easy to look at it from City's side, he would be a great signing and a loss if we don't get him. However, from his side City are one of only a handful of teams that can afford him(and I doubt Spain or Italy are much of an option), so the question is...... can he stay at Inter or has he burnt too many bridges. MY take is, he and his team really have to make this deal work and thats why City are playing hardball.

Well said.
We all know that this agent loves to shoot his mouth off (just look at the whole Zlatan saga)
If this deal was close to collapsing he would out shooting mouth off trying to blame everyone but him self.
