I have not been aware of us signing another centre back, if you take Boateng's versatility out of the equation.

I knew nothing about Luiz and I still don't.

It should be the main focus before the window shuts. Hopefully we don't have to trial those shortcomings in our opening few games, before the penny drops.

The CB position worries me, we spend all this money improving the squad yet one of the most glaring deficiences is the CB position... imo it will come back to haunt us.

The problem is, if we go down that road we'll have pretty much a new 11 & a week to sort it out. That's not a recipe for success however good they are.

I agree with that nev, but for me we need a quality CB mate.

My biggest fear is that we still don't have a natural leader, nobody that's vocal enough to pull the team together when the chips are down.
Stoke away and were 1-0 down you need someone out there that's lifting the team and willing to bang heads together with respect from others.............we currently don't have that?

Finding a player with those qualities, who's also available to sign, is like finding rocking horse shit though.

Lets stop the bitchfest now fellas!

Fair enough, Trigger.

But how one positive posting can be met with such a quick and all-too-tired personal critique of the way info might be relayed, Vic wouldn't let it lie.

I agree mate, the comment was totally unnecessary and has been noted, I just want the transfer forum to discuss transfers than turn into yet another slanging match.

I was under the impression that 99% of people were blues and thus stand together, if people want to just stir shit they should start looking for a new forum.

Nah, Yaya's not vocal. Kolo has already said on the OS that Yaya is in fact a very shy guy and keeps himself to himself. Yaya's quality, but he's not a leader.

I agree it's hard to find but it's something that we need if we want to visit the places where we want to go..............it's a big Ingredient that's missing and we need to find it.

In my humble opinion i might add ^^^^
