balotelli and kolarov are saw as pretty much done deal. maicon wont real madrid but maybe he would change idea because real madrid seem won't pay the £29m ...

I can see why our club is taking their time. We play Inter on July 31st so we have time. They want to convince Maicon that we are a good move for him. If we offer Richards + Robinho and 22millon.. For Mario and Maicon. I doubt Inter or Maicon takes that offer.. but we have to make the bid and take the chance.

With fullbacks of Maicon and Kolarov. They would be the best in the league. And with Boatang could sub at both full backs and at CB.

This excites me more than Dzeko or Torres.

I think having fullbacks like maicon and kolarov would suit us perfectly. It allows us to have more central midfielders to control the game and it allows the fullbacks to bomb forward with the midfielders covering for them when they do so . i too would be excited by this , it will be a wonderful season

Yes I've been to the swamp many times for derbies. First time was the League Cup semi-final second leg in 1970. Great night, even though I was only 10.

I think he is a City fan.. just the type that rather City be a bad team with the right type players.. than a good team with the wrong type players.

What I dont get is why after stating is opinion he has to kick the dead horse. Him saying it over and over wont change Citys bid or chance of getting him.

Maybe we need a sticky thread of where people can make predictions.. later we can come back to see if they are right or wrong instead of these posters stating these opinion 20 or 30 times a day starting slaging matches because of them.

Not a City fan, rag all day - jealous that baconface would like Balo at the swamp but his bid of 3 breville toasters, 2 dualit kettles and a green and yellow scarf has been knocked back.

Well since mancio is italian and an inter fan and most likely see's baltelli week in week out i'll take his opinion over bellsniffs! Infact i take Bobby's opinion over all others... he worked with him and even said balo can be the best striker in the world!

Yes Mancini is the expert. I truly hope he's right about this player. More right than Hughes was about RSC.

Yes but they both appear(ed) to have an obsession with a particuar player. I don't see any other real interest in Balotelli - other than that his agent is attempting to generate; not at the kind of money we are prepared to offer anyway.

or taggert on o.hargreaves.

Bobby has shown an eye for talent at Inter. Didn't he bring in Maicon and Julio Cesar?

So far he has gotten us nothing but quality for the price we pay, Boateng and Johnson being the best examples. If anything is Bobby's strength, it's his judgment of players.

Couldn't give a fuck about about the old soak's transfer transgressions. Veron was a particular corker though.

Once again, absolute bollocks.

We hold all the cards for Balotelli, and that's why no one else is officially declaring their interest. Why put yourself up for a fight you know you are going to lose?

Very few clubs in the whole of Europe wouldn't snap him up if they a) could afford him and b) felt they would be attractive to him.

We a) can, b) are, and c) hopefully will.

Or perhaps they are quietly sniggering to themselves.

-- Sun Jul 18, 2010 7:18 pm --

For any FM10 players.

Sign Balotelli for about £32m and play him as an AML Inside Forward and he's amazing.

:)

Well that's it. The definitive answer!

No fuss really. Only us that are daft enough to pay big money for Balotelli.

Silva is signing for Liverpool. Statement of intent from their new owners.

I remain un-arsed about the prospect of signing Yaya.

Silva is a £12m player and we are paying £25m+ ... great work again Marwood/Cock.

The neediness of some of the individuals on this board is staggering.

bellwhaft said:
This is terrible news. Oh well, Liverpool are England's most successful club after all. They deserve it. Now that Silva is out of our reach maybe we could put a cheeky cheap bid in to re-sign Riera.

I'm pithily un-arsed about whether we bag Milner or not. At any rate, we'll probably get gazumped by The Wizard who'll offer Obertan in a straight swap deal and Milner will accept for the privelege of donning THE Shirt.

Now I could have gone on but I was getting more and more depressed!

Maybe you should post your ideal starting eleven for our game vs Spurs, I am beginning to wonder if it would be

Van de Saar
Neville
Wio
O'Shea
Evra
Scholes
Giggs
Fletcher
Rooney
Berbaflop
Nani

If you get my drift... just nipping off to ring The Samaritans after taking a bottle of valium ;)

No mate, but I could remember his negativity from when i was a mere poster, plus the fact he has posted around 20 times how we would be mugged if we signed Ballotelli based on him having watched him 6 times ;)

He is of course entitled to his opinion but doesn't he go on!

I am entitled to an opinion and I stick by it/them! Good research Trigger. Oh and since we signed Siva I have come to love him, although I've never seen him play in the flesh. As us proper City fans do.
