Cheers, just read folk posting welcome to manchester super mario etc etc...just the usual city optimism then! Can't deny - I do like it!!!

For those who missed it, the apparent new developments are not much to go on, but this latest outbreak of BM optimism is the result of Mario's agent coming out and denying the £180,000 wage demand stories in "British tabloids". He says the deal is being held up by the two clubs but the player's preferred destination is still City in spite of the alleged interest from other clubs. Which sounds like good news but you never bloody know with this deal.

Still a lot of smoke and mirrors, at least his agent has said something, he was very quiet this week.

I still think this saga has got legs in it, we'll have to wait a little bit longer I guess. Real coup if we sign this kid, has no flaw in his game to my eye, except in his head, if Mancini can cure that, then...what a player we have

Christ, he isn't going to have much settling in time at this rate.

That doesn't bother me much to be honest Pam.

What bothers me more is how much the English media will focus on him and try and rock the boat IF he comes.

I think it will be alot like bellamy, they see he has a temper so all of a sudden there must be arguments behind the scenes.

Hopefully Mancini could be the sort of "father figure", he has the ability to be brilliant.

I had my misgivings early days, but yes....I want him here.

To think that Balotelli could prove the press wrong and knuckle down under Mancini would be bliss.
It would be a double whammy.

Thank fuk for that!

Will the flappers out there stop flappin now!

Well it isn't as if they're saying he's signed. Although admittedly, it's the most positive story we've heard for a while.

So happy to hear Balo is nearly done, and he has called the press on their lies.

After this pre-season, and with the players Bobby has bought in, I really think he is the man to take us to the top.

I really hope he doesn't get fired off the back of a short-termist "perceived failure". If we kept him for years he could shape the team into a champions league winner.
