Bandwagon jumpers

on reflection i have to say i used to moan when i couldnt stand in my usual place on the Kippax because an extra ten thousand had turned up,but we used to label them part-timers not glory-hunters. They paid their money so were entitled to come. we had no internet then ,the only alternative was the letters page in the MEN but i dont recall any one bothering to complain as the gates went up and up in the Mercer-Allison years. This is another thread that has no conclusion, different views that will have no effect what-so-ever ,unless the s*n gets hold of it and uses it to belittle the club and its fans.'Far-fetched?' maybe, but in the off-season the gutter press will be looking under every stone for ammunition to suit their agenda.

It makes my blood boil walking around Manchester and seeing a hell of a lot more people wearing City tops than just a couple of years back.

Maybe that's because they're selling 'em for a tenner at the City Store and also the adult and junior ticket-shirt deal they had going as well? My Dad who was a seasonticket holder for twenty years and went to most aways as well bought his first ever replica shirt this year. I'd be surprised if that isn't true of quite a few people. If you sell at the prices the club has been doing, you're going to get more people wearing City shirts.

I've decided that as long as they know we're playing unlike them twats you see in the shops on matchday wearing a United shirt and you ask them what the score is and they reply 'we're playing?' or those cringeworthy fans like the Indian 'EPL' fan on that YouTube vid singing made up songs then they'll be fine.

40 years ago, 68,0000 in maine road, all city as well, so where have 28,000 gone, some have sadley passed away, some have moved to different climes, some have moved to other british parts, so if they have had offspring and influence and also you have football on nearly everyday of the week with city being one of the most televised, it will attract especially as city have a sort of cult status? also you have oasis and ricky who both have a massive following all over the country some of their alligence would rub off? now i am not saying their won,t be people jumping on the bandwagon, but i think that will come later when we actually become sucsessfull, i think people should be given credit for having the foresight to reallise that i might actually be picking and supporting a future winner here. especially when we have the worst media credit in the country?

We got a new Sweden supporters club after the billionaire took over the first time.

A lot more foreign 'fans' who had never seen the club play started coming over since the Aug 2007 after we started splashing out.
