Barcelona 2nd Leg

Going forward to this one I hope,

City give it a go and whatever will be will be.
All city fans going to this fixture have a great time and demonstrate the unique strength of being a BLUE.
I can find somewhere Manchester based to watch and enjoy this one with fellow BLUES. (2nd best bet Saddleworth Area)

Suggestions welcomed for the latter.

We can take full advantage in this game that Barcelona will come with a sense of arrogance and self belief that they can win this one easily at home. I think we have to setup to hassle them, press and really bring out our qualities, we did the first 2 in the home leg but the 2nd I think we struggled to do. The most important thing is an early goal because if we get something early, they will crumble defensively, it wouldn't be the first time. I think they found it easy to deal with Negredo who we tried to push the ball upto him on his own, this time we'll have a completely different threat in having Aguero just over the shoulder of Pique who is slow as hell. Mascherano also isn't the best player positionally and in some parts their defence was all over the place when we attacked, see the Negredo chance in the first half when he flicked it over their keeper, where their players get pulled all over the place and Aguero is more mobile and can quickly exploit that.

Whether it would be suicide to play with both Negredo and Aguero I don't know but I think Barcelona will have a completely different level of problems to deal with in Aguero which they didn't really have consistently in the first leg. That first 30 minutes before Aguero got injured against Spurs away was one of the most devastating attacking efforts I've ever seen individually and if he's playing at that level despite their possession they'll be scared stiff of him dropping deep for the ball in that pocket of space where Busquets plays on his own. I can see us getting a goal or 2 and I also can see us keeping them out because they never threatened us on Tuesday, it took a penalty and a sending off to give them the space they needed. I thought Messi may as well of not bothered turning up because he was never given the time or space and he was still then playing against Kompany who read him like a book.

It is still going to take some effort where we need our best ever performance as a team, without any mistakes but I think we can get a good result at the Nou Camp, having Aguero back is going to really cause them problems. Negredo is fantastic but Aguero cannot be marked so easily and half the chances we had in the home leg I have no doubt Aguero would of put away.

I'm hoping the fact that we have to go all out and score at least twice will work in our favour. Our forwards have the ability and scoring goals has been the least of our worries all season.
If we can get to the extra time stage then anything is possible.

Under no circumstances should we play two up front in this game. We'll get torn to pieces. Nasri for Kolarov and Aguero for Negredo.

Not suggesting that at all, I don't think Negredo did too much really to trouble them so I'd agree swapping him for Aguero. Just suggested rather that MP likes to play with 2 strikers so I wouldn't be surprised if both started. Having Nasri in there would be good but I think MP got it right with Kolarov in, we never had a problem until Kolarov had to go off and then they started getting tons of space down the right which eventually lead to their 2nd. We have to be a bit crafty in this game, we know Barcelona will setup the same and not setup to try and defend their advantage so MP can decide whether he wants to go all out or keep it tight and try and nick the goals we need. I think the latter is best because it worked so well in the first half, if they get a goal then we are stuffed so we have to stay tight at the back.

We need to score.
How would a lone Aguero be more likely to produce goals than what we saw on Tuesday?

Play hart, zabba, kolarov, kompany ( richards@centre half next to vinny)the other 3have had enough chances to impress&throw him forward at every corner "free kick etc to cause mayhem in the air"yaya fernandinho silva, aguero dzeko&the beast!!! Can't see the likes of mascherano /alves winning many headers off dzeko/beast play3up front & launch it at every opportunity so dzeko/beast can knock down the headers to aguero in central area with siva &yaya picking up the 2nd balls!! Pointless trying to play your way thro ,iniesta ,xavi ,fabregas etc, only piquet/busquets with any height !! It certainly would be a culture shock what have we got to lose.???? Get Richards fit by playing alongside vinny in next 3games too get an understanding of each other & he wouldn't be as exposed as he usually his @right back, get kolarov to fire balls in from all angles &feed off the scraps:-)&smash a few free kicks in if given the opportunity!!
