Barcelona 2nd Leg

Agreed. Forget all the bullshit in the media about us being outclassed and given a lesson. Barcelona came off that pitch on Tuesday knowing they'd been given one hell of a game for large periods of the match and were fortunate to come away with a 2-goal lead.

Stating the obvious, I know, but the first goal in the 2nd leg is going to be crucial. Hopefully it'll be us who get it, and nice and early please.

It is still game on but I really can't see it happening. In some ways it would be better to draw/lose if that makes sense rather that put everything in only to be shafted by the Officials.

I did think about not posting this but on past European games both including us and other games without us indicate an unlevel playing field.

Get ready for the greatest comeback in CL history :-)

UEFA certainly won't want their golden boys Barcelona to get knocked out at home by the likes of us, so I've no doubt there'll be some iffy decisions along the way. We can still do it though.

Agreed

This is why the football world desperately needs an early City goal - then we´ll see how cynical these fookers are when they start playing tippy-tappy keep ball and rolling over the place as they´re shitting it

I agree. I've put £20 on us to progress at 16/1 with Skybet. I am quite confident. They are not unbeatable and we can beat anybody on our day given some breaks on top. Plus I've seen bigger comebacks than what this would be.

I actually have a very good feeling about the return leg. The sound bites from the like of MP and Vinny are very positive and I don't think it is impossible we could wi.n 4-2 over there. If there's one team in Europe could do it, it's city. However the main clause will be the team available to us. Which. It's include Kun and Nasri, and I'd even bring in Jimmy Milner because his work rate is exceptional.

Looking at the positives, we kept Barca quiet for most of the game even when down to 10, and with a Bit more luck Negredo could have had 2 in the first half and Silva came close late on, it is uphill I know. But I'm not conceding defeat yet, and provided we don't pay them too much respect ( which for a while in the first half we did) we can do this.

I know we will go all out for this which is fair enough as we have a slight chance of qualifying
Just hope it doesnt take it out of us as we have a tricky game at hull less than 72 hours later..

Definitely, I mean that's how Barcelona always plays at Camp Nou...In 15 years I don't think I've seen them play cynically even once, they don't sit behind the ball and waste time...Like always, they will attack

Barcelona never really threatened in the first half. Rather we created a number of half chances which could easily have resulted in goals. MDM suspension might be a blessing in disguise. I would hope that we play a little cautiously in the first half and then revert to all-out attack in the 2nd.
