Barcelona Information Thread

Booked into Gran Via apartments from Sunday - Thursday. A two bedroom for £500, apparently 15 mins walk from Las Ramblas with plenty of bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Seems ok.

I can vouch for anything in El Born - cool area with chilled out nightlife.

Also - if anyone's having trouble getting hotels - try www.airbnb.co.uk - cool site with people renting out bedrooms and or apartments....decent rooms for around £15 per night....

pick pockets, top tier of big stadium. Walk up abit like newcastle, and the last time i went the half time refreshments were sold on a table, and they sold out of coke somehow

went to Barcelona last year, stayed here

just off Ramblas, nr Boqueira (sp?) market. Free Wifi, Free breakfast, friendly staff. 5min walk to Metro, we watched Barca dick Malaga, Pellgrini and Isco's last game with Malaga. Metro was busy coming back but not as bad as I thought.

Can posters with any knowledge or advice about Barcelona please post it in here.

I'm sure many Blues like myself who have never been to Barcelona would find it very helpful.

Here goes.

Currently looking for a Hotel/area in Barcelona that is near the centre, near tourist attractions, bars, etc, with easy access to the Nou Camp.

Thanks.

In my opinion ,for what it's worth, i think barcelona is a top place - i loved it, loads to see n do,did the nou camp tour. (the missus couldn't understand why tho!!)

No shortage of bars- there's an Irish bar near to sagrada familia thats ok too.and plenty of choices of where to eat also.

The underground metro is great for getting about , you wait 3/4 mins max for a train and you can get anywhere in barcelona within 25 mins max.

The Catalonian people are great too, just seems like a real place with all sorts of characters- i think that in their opinion they are kinda separate from rest of Spain and that they should be the capital maybe ??

I would imagine every one will enjoy that trip.

By the way anyone any idea of how many points will get you a ticket for this one ??
