Barcelona Information Thread

Great place Barcelona, worth staying for a few days.
You do need to be careful we had our bag stolen from under a table in a bar first time we went. Luckily no cash etc in it.
Still don`t know how they got it without us noticing , so be careful blues.

I know match ticket details are not out yet but does anyone have an idea of ticket prices just so I can budget total costs etc. cheers

Is there an canal street like area anywhere?

Yes. I went with Mrs Mist and booked into Hotel Barbara purely because that is her first name. What I didn't know was it is slap bang in the middle of the red light district !!

For those of us flying to Girona, does ryanair always have BArcelona Buses waiting no matter what time the flight is? I've heard people mention this but can't see anything online, and would have thought that ryanair might mention it on their website or something? Or give a timetable or some sort of idea as to how many buses will be on
Have a goodun dont have the flaming sambukas you might set a table alight ha ha

Does anyone know if the guy who runs the Barca branch of City supporters posts on here?

Can posters with any knowledge or advice about Barcelona please post it in here.

I'm sure many Blues like myself who have never been to Barcelona would find it very helpful.

Here goes.

Currently looking for a Hotel/area in Barcelona that is near the centre, near tourist attractions, bars, etc, with easy access to the Nou Camp.

Thanks.

In my opinion ,for what it's worth, i think barcelona is a top place - i loved it, loads to see n do,did the nou camp tour. (the missus couldn't understand why tho!!)

No shortage of bars- there's an Irish bar near to sagrada familia thats ok too.and plenty of choices of where to eat also.

The underground metro is great for getting about , you wait 3/4 mins max for a train and you can get anywhere in barcelona within 25 mins max.

The Catalonian people are great too, just seems like a real place with all sorts of characters- i think that in their opinion they are kinda separate from rest of Spain and that they should be the capital maybe ??

I would imagine every one will enjoy that trip.

By the way anyone any idea of how many points will get you a ticket for this one ??

I forgot aswell - there is an area in barcelona called manchester or it used to be - it was or still is an industrial area -so we have connections !!

Thanks for that Chaps.

For what it's worth, I've done a bit of digging.

I appreciate it doesn't hold 10,000 people ;-) , but it's going to be a cracking atmosphere in there. Defo a place to meet fellow Blues and have a sing song.

See The Real Barcelona – Take A Walk

Image-32.jpeg

What I love about exploring the city by foot is that it places me right in the middle of everything. It also offers me the chance to discover some really amazing places. One particular place I have found that I love spending time in on a regular basis is the Manchester Bar. This is located in the Gothic part of the city on Calle de Milans. If you are someone who has a hunkering for the sounds of groups like The Smiths or Joy Division then this is the place for you to go. http://www.shbarcelona.com/blog/en/see- ... ke-a-walk/

Some more pictures.
