Barry is still good enough

Barry is still very good.He bossed that midfield with Yaya Toure it was like watching the Barry of last season.

Barry I never have rated him since he arrived at the club and still dont. Yes he gets around the pitch well since he has come to the club but you need to be able to pass the ball well at all times in his role. His passing has let him down and at times can give the ball away in silly areas which can be dangerous when your as slow as Barry is.

Last nights game. He started off shaky in the first half but done well and improved in the second half. It was a good solid display nothing more than that. Also I would add Yaya into that mix from last nights game at times he was a passenger. Against quicker players than the Rags midfield he finds it hard. Also in the champions League he has been shocking poor for us. We do need to replace him with a better player in the long term sooner rather than later.

Giggs is a mug.

Like he has done all his career here he also amongst doing alright gifted the ball to them a couple of times and they should have scored from it once.

give it a break he isn't good enough, never was, never will be. did well to be in a title winning team last season and there are many many better players than him in his position out there.
says the man from planet rag! deluded!

Makes sense, of course, to be looking for a replacement moving forward, due to age if nothing else. But can't agree with any of the rest. He was far better than good or solid last night - we completely controlled the midfield last night, and it was Barry and Yaya that made Giggs and Carrick (who has been probably their best player all season) look poor.

I'm also not convinced by the general idea (and I don't just mean you here, btw) that Barry is exposed, and cannot play, against better sides. He's shown time and time again that he can play against anyone in the league. In the Champions League he's struggled, notably against Ajax away when he was abysmal. But given how shambolic our performances were, and how disjointed we looked as a team, it seems a bit harsh to use it as proof that he's not up to it. On this year's evidence, you could probably say that we don't have anyone (Silva apart) good enough for that level.

I think he's been great all season and the only criticism stemmed from the Southampton game where nearly everyone had a bad game anyway.
