Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck

Whilst it's a blow not to have Silva available, I wouldn't want to see him risked if not fully fit. I think the CL boat has sailed for this season; it'd take a remarkable set of results for us to qualify now. I'd rather give Silva more time to recuperate and concentrate on the league and FA Cup.

How do we set up our midfield to cope with the absences, now we know Dave is out?

I don't think we have too many options, given the injuries and suspensions. I would imagine we'll play a midfield five of Fernando, Lampard, Milner, Navas and Nasri.

This pretty much sums it up given the injuries and suspensions. I would go with Jovetic instead of Navas.

Red cards really hurt in this competition :-(

I think if we would've had a full strength 11 with a few options off the bench, we would've probably beat them. We've seemed to have had a knack of making it happen in the big matches against good opposition but without the personnel I fear the worst.

ITV will be sharpening the knives as we speak. It would be beautiful to watch Bore Scholes' little opinionated red face squirm as we finally come of age in Europe and get a result.

Joleon Lescott will fight our corner in the studio

The ref will decide who wins on Tuesday.
We deserve to be bottom of this group given the 2nd half at CSKA and the home game against them.
