Re: bayern munich

I'm going and can't for it but I have to say if we don't sell out the club would be entirely to blame for keeping the three match bundle on sale far too long.

There is not much time left to shift the rest of the tickets as the £48 minimum price will take some finding for many fans

Just hearing we've nowhere near sold out. Get down there people. We want the place as intimidating as their place would be to us. Its the champions league when all said and done.
£48 is the reason. I can't blame anyone who doesn't turn up.
I was surprised at the price tbh, still going though.
I am but I'm not surprised that such a price isn't drawing the biggest crowd and I'm certainly not going to have a go at my fellow blues who don't go. We're successful now so we play (can expect to play) more games than ever at higher prices than ever, real wages are going down still and City have one of the poorest fanbases in the league.

I'm not having a go at the club either and there are many positive initiatives - low prices for U16s, value seasoncards, £300 seasoncards promised when the extension is completed.

I'm just trying to explain the situation as I see it and why I'm not going to have a go at people who don't turn up.

£48 quid is silly money, i'm not going tonight to help finance it.

I know exactly where your coming from mate, it all adds up. I'm only doing Munich away as much as I'd have liked to go to the other two.

Are you not doing an option of an overnight stay , but staying over after the game and returning the next day , i.e 10/11 Dec ? Or perhaps a 2 night stay
Same as Dortmund last year, very poor day before and straight back after match. I'll have to sort my own again as per last year. Same as Spike's trip have always been well run.

Prefer it that way personally. Get to have a night out on the Monday without us getting beat to spoil it, decent all day booze up on match day then straight home. You can't drink at the match anyway so by the time you get out of the ground the hangover has usually started kicking in anyway.

Not that I only go for the piss up obviously.

You feckin liar:)

nobody will be having a pop at people who don't turn up. Nothing wrong though with a rallying call for those who do go.
I'm lucky enough to get the deal thingy.

Another thing is that there's loyalty points to be had for those who need to catch up.

Re: Bayern Munich away travel details.

Anyone know when information about ticket prices and points etc will be released?

Re: bayern munich

Really looking forward to it. Bringing my flag that I bought on the concourse too.

Re: bayern munich

the worse atmosphere at home,i do agree and is a shame i have to say these but i gotta make it known to all, The Bavarian has the best fans base in Europe and in their domestic league as well and i really think if we do want our team to do well Europe then is up us to show how important the match means to us.i hope we support them with the blue moon rising and show to the whole world what we got in our sleeves, staying quite and waiting for a goal to come isn't the best way to support a club u love and cherish.Watching us "the fans" sitting there and getting nervous and agitated is very bad and sad to the players.why go to the stadium and get nervous?,is best u don't show up at all.

Re: bayern munich

Let's not get too cocky. If we can win at Villa and against Bayern, the momentum will be overwhelming. Just hope that if we lose it doesn't completely halt us.

Re: bayern munich

Four of us in our house and a combined total of £192.00 out of the household coffers cannot be justified for one game or worst still £396.00 for the three game package so we decided to all watch it on the box. Then the wife's cousin decides to inform us he's coming over from Ireland with his lad to stay at ours for two days and go to the Bayern game and so now I feel obliged to go with him. It would look odd him going and not us so we've now got two tickets and two are gonna sit it out at home and watch and if I'm honest I'm a bit pissed off we've spent £96 in the process when I'd got my head around staying at home. Also went on my own tonight and saved £45 by the other three not going. Money's just too tight to get to see all the games.

Re: bayern munich

I love the champions league . City playing Bayern Munich is very special . You look at the teams we have played in Europe Juventus Real Madrid Ajax and now Bayern Munich again . You wouldn't have believed 20 years ago we would play these teams .

Re: bayern munich

I'd be all over this game like a fat kid on a cupcake....unfortunately the 10,000 miles of travel presents a slight problem. Surely it will sell out....after all, it's bayern munich in the champs league! I can understand money issues presenting a problem for quite a few families though.

Re: bayern munich

The club have got the pricing structure for the champions league group games badly wrong. 33k tops for the other two games. I'm sorry but they must employ some proper muppets at City

Re: bayern munich

In my opinion, this is one of the biggest matches since the takeover. This is the match that most of the football world will be watching Wednesday, and a win against the current champs would really make a statement that we mean business in Europe this season. I think the global perception of City is that we're a very good team but not one of the "big boys" just yet.

I don't get to watch many Bundesliga matches, can anyone enlighten me on......
-how Bayern have been playing tactically under Pep recently?
-Is Lahm still playing in the center of the midfield?
-How/where has Gotze been playing? Are they missing Mario Gomez at all?
-Any injuries? Wasn't Schweinsteiger out earlier in the season?

Wish the match was tomorrow!!!

Dont be sorry, its not your fault you have no idea.

Re: bayern munich

City at home to the great Bayern Munich, the CL finalists of the past two years and current champions, in a highly competitive game? Are you kidding? This is a must-go game! Got a ticket for the game yesterday as I can work it to be up there, couldn't believe how convenient it works out actually.

Surprised at how many seats were left but not so much so when I saw the ticket price. Still, these games don't come around very often. But the club may have got the pricing very wrong. It'll be terrible if there are still lots of empty seats by kick-off. What sort of message would that send out? Could the club lower the price and give refunds to those who've already bought?
