If that handball is at the other end I guarantee you're screaming for a pen.
If I was I would be wrong as it is not a handball.

Unless you are saying the rules are incorrect?

It's a difficult one not to give is what I'm saying, clearly hand to ball and could the ref really tell from his viewpoint that it was accidental?

And you gave me stick last night for Barry at full-back? Difficult one not to give? Bollocks sunshine.

In the first half we were wholly outclassed. Made a better job of the second 45, but overall Bayern were by far the better side.

I didn't see any great new plan emerging tonight. We played pretty well in the same style as last year.
Total bollocks but that's as expected I suppose.

Are you going to be a tit all season because Mancini was rightly sacked?

I'm going to be a realist. Support the team and see what happens. One thing I'm not going to do is continually personalise debate and constantly hark back to last season like some tits on here

Considering that this ref was voted worst ref of the Bundesliga a couple years ago by the players in the first half of the season and he has also screwed out the Croatian NT a couple years ago as well as Chile when they played against Argentina where he was almost killed by enraged fans.

I think there was some bias. Yes.

Not only that but it's pretty clear Nasri & Dzeko should NOT have been called offsides.

At least we know we can change the pace of play. Go from a fluid attacking scheme to a defensive counter. Brilliant management by Pelle.

Hahahaha. So the rules are wrong then?

Possibly, I'm just saying that if that had been at the other end every fan on here would have been slating the ref for NOT giving it had he waved play on.
The rules are "possibly" wrong. No they aren't wrong.

The referee aside

I was a good performance, defence looked well drilled bit unlucky with some of the chances

A great chance to test the team, a lot will have been learnt from that

The referree did not do anything wrong. The penalty was after a clear handball - hand in the box and it is - and the offsides all were correct.
Oh fuck off and read up what constitutes a hand ball.

It HAS to be DELIBERATE.

The Boyata yellow for a perfect tackle and giving a free kick to your keeper when he was out of his goal and Yaya was lining up a shot into an empty goal. Plus a handful of other silly free kicks.

If that handball is at the other end I guarantee you're screaming for a pen.
No i think these decisions are the most ridiculous in football these days. For handballs it's just a roll of the dice every time, there's no consistency, no clear rule, nothing. We've been given some shockers as well i believe.

Zabaleta's arm went up naturally for balance, he wasn't looking at the ball, probably didn't even know where it was going. The ball hitting his arm was a total accident, the ball wasn't going towards goal or into a particularly dangerous area. He didn't block a pass or a shot or gain any advantage from it. It was a totally inconsequential and accidental event, yet they get a goal for it. Ludicrous.

Your agenda is as clear as day.

If you really can't see that we now cross a fucking ball then that is your hard luck, vocalising that fact only alerts the forum to your lack of clue.

Thought Boyata had an atrocious first 5 minutes, with a couple of really bad giveaways in dangerous positions that just can't happen out of a player in that position, but he settled down a bit and was OK, even good at times. Wasn't the calm and composed always in control kind of good that VK or even Nastasic provides, more of a frenetic maximum effort living by the seat of his pants kind of good that I never find convincing but some players can just play that way.

Seriously?

Nastasic is better, but that is a ridiculous analysis of Boyata's overall game. And, he made the best tackle of the game and got a yellow card because Ribery rolled around! F'ing joke call from Stark!!

Boyata, with a few more games under his belt, will be the #1 back-up, and to think that he and Nasty are younger than me COMBINED blows my mind.

Sadly, Boyata was exposed by Zaba going missing multiple times. After Richards performance yesterday, Zaba will be very disappointed with his performance today......and how great is THAT?!!

The thing that the pre-season (so far) has shown me is that the "two in any position" mentality has helped UP the game of numerous players.

Nasri is a good example, where Pelle is playing him as a second striker when necessary.....and he looks great there....AND he has been fighting for the ball on the front line!!

Milner is another player who I have always admired, but who has upped his game. His LEFT FOOTED ball to Dzeko in the 89th minute was brilliant, as has his left foot crossing! That means that when he plays EITHER wing, he can get the ball over down the line or inside. Excellent add'l string to his bow.

I would like to see WHOEVER the "third choice" left back is play some games, because Kolarov has changed his game to the left midfielder he wants to be and is an insufficient LB replacement for Clichy. I thought Rekik was going to be bloodied there this season, but now he's at PSV, that kicks that in the head!! (BTW, he had a great debut @ PSV, with highlights already on YT!)

All in all, I am ecstatic to say "We were robbed!" Whodathunk that before the game and after seeing the starting line ups! When I saw them, I thought we were going to get a bit of a pasting....Essentially CIty Second XI vs Bayern's First XI!!
