A good game, Kompany was immense for City (German tv gave him Man of the Match), Müller was class for us. I thought we deserved to win, we looked sharp first half, but the result was irrelevant, it was a good test against a good side and we look as though we'll be ready when the season starts.

behave it was no where near blatant and if your german in the pocket ref had the balls he would have called the correct decision!

rags of germany, is that how you win your trophy`s , by having refs in your pocket, same thing will happen if we play you in the champions league, dispicable cheating twats, even in a friendly. No respect whatsoever for Munich

What does his hand have to do in the air when the ball is in the air. That is a penalty that would have been given in any Bundesliga match and probably in every CL match (if the referee would have seen it and the opponent would not be Barca...)

We had 2 penalties given against us when Boateng turned himself a little and his arm was straight down his body. He cannot cut it away.

It is nothing to discuss long about. The hand was not in a position it should be. It touched the ball. It was in the box. Penalty.

I though Starke did a very good job. I have seen a lot bad referreeing in the recent year especially in the international matches - and this was a good one. I think he got all offsides right - there were one or two of Bayern that were very close. Nasri's knee was clear offside.

It's a difficult one not to give is what I'm saying, clearly hand to ball and could the ref really tell from his viewpoint that it was accidental?

Being the rags of Germany means you are used to having dodgy decisions so I guess it's understandable that you can't see how poor a decision it was.

The referree did not do anything wrong. The penalty was after a clear handball - hand in the box and it is - and the offsides all were correct.

The actual laws of the game are:

FIFA Laws of the Game 2013-14

Direct free kick

A direct free kick is awarded to the opposing team if a player commits any of the following seven offences in a manner considered by the referee to be careless, reckless or using excessive force:
kicks or attempts to kick an opponent
trips or attempts to trip an opponent
jumps at an opponent
charges an opponent
strikes or attempts to strike an opponent
pushes an opponent
tackles an opponent

A direct free kick is also awarded to the opposing team if a player commits any of the following three offences:
holds an opponent
spits at an opponent
handles the ball deliberately (except for the goalkeeper within his own penalty area)

It is supposed to be "deliberate" hand ball.

However, an ex Premier League referee (David Ellery) once said "Referees look at two specifics - did the hand or arm go towards the ball or in a manner which would block the ball, or is the hand in a position where it would not normally be?"
This seems to be universally the way referees officiate the handball law, however, they aren't correct in their interpretation of the rule. If the laws are changed then I will accept that unnatural positions of the arms when striking the ball to be a hand ball, but at the moment the laws state "deliberate" only and I will only accept that as the correct decision.

A fair ref, and Silva, Aguero and Nasty and we'd have won. Doesn't really matter. The main thing is we opened up bayern time and time again, and if the players didn't know before, they know now just what they can do this season

Doesn't matter what Utd or Chelsea do in the transfer mkt, MCFC should be very very competitive this season

So Rooney to Chelsea and Ronaldo to the Rags will make no difference?

The rules are "possibly" wrong. No they aren't wrong.

His arm is above his head, he clearly handles the ball, almost every ref is going to give a pen for that, deliberate or not.
