Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, struggled not sure what people actually expect playing the German Champions at their place

That some of our players put in more than ''can't be arsed'' performances. Is that too much to ask? If we get beat by the better side while giving it a real go, then fair enough. Not a lot you can do about that. But when some of our players looked like they didn't want to be out there, that's another story.

Extremely disappointed.

Bayern aren't that great and definitely won't win the tournament on that showing. We were way below par and yet they still huffed and puffed their way to a stuffy 1-0 win.

What we are still doing wrong is going into these Cl games v 'bigger' sides and showing far to much respect, being far to submissive, conceding far to much territory and trying to be something we're not.

As a team we just don't impose ourselves and we're still giving off a vibe that we're somewhat 'in awe' of the opposition and aren't actually allowed to have a proper go at them.

Until we grow some hair on our bollocks it simply won't change.


Play wise Yaya was a fucking liability. The kid clearly isn't 'fit' and clearly has zero defensive understanding at this level. This left Fernandino exposed to fuck for the whole time. The amount of work he has to get through is ridiculous.

Sagna was also incredibly poor. There were times when he looked so one footed he looked like he'd been on the piss before kick off.

I thought Joe Hart had his finest game in a city shirt since Dortmund at home 2 seasons back. Made some cracking saves and looked excellent.

The rest were very 'blah' imo. Not one of them played as we know they can.

Nailed on penalty on Silva (Bentaia) btw. Absolutely diabolical (bent?) decision by a ref who was right there.

That about sums it up for me. There are those moaning at people for slagging off Yaya, but I didn't like what I saw from him tonight. He was not prepared to bust a gut for City tonight. Fernandinho had to cover him so many times. Nasri and Silva should never start together in a game like this either.

Until we sign an attacking midfielder with the 'X' factor, we have no chance in this tournament IMO. Look at Robben when he came on, the whole atmosphere of the game changed and he had an impact. Real have Bale. Chelsea have Hazard. Even United have Di Maria now. That one player who will just run at defenders and deliver an end product (so, not an Aaron Lennon). We should go all out and get Reus, speed up our attacks in games like this and make defences worry more.

If that's true and not sensationalised about Toure than he can go as far as I'm concerned. Drop him until January and sell to the highest bidder. As far as I'm concerned that is just as insulting as anything a a player can do.

When Yaya and Nasri were on the pitch together they didn't even equal one decent midfielder.

What makes it worse cant say a specific Bayern player who was very good. They played well as a team but they did not havea standout player. None of them played extremely great. We thought X. Alonso might be their weakness if we close him down but he had about 100% passing stats and we hardly were thinking on their weaknesses...

This Bayern was far from a top form Bayern also with the star players being fit they missed tonight. Trouble is even this Bayern seemed way ahead of us in defending and creating chances.
