Some of the comments on here are a joke.
We were three minutes from getting a very good result.
Get behind your team and stop fucking moaning.
It's that type of attitude that winds me up. Let's be happy with a loss lads because we nearly got a result. If we want to do better we have to expect better and I do not expect after 4 seasons in the CL to still look as shit as we did in our first game.

Overall not a bad performance but on another day where Hart wasn't superman we could have got spanked. Ferd was amazing and doing two jobs as Yaya was fucking pathetic, we could have called up Fofana or Ntcham and they would have done a better job than him, he jogged about and did fuck all in the second half, this was after he was "rested" specifically for this game. After he was moved forward he still had no impact.

Nasri was invisible again, just like against Arsenal, I don't think he has the balls to play big games unless we are already on top.

The rest of the team were varying degrees of good to average. We should have had a penalty near the end but of course we don't get it as usual.

I personally believe our tactical approach to these CL games are wrong and we need to play with a three man midfield, time after time we seem to get overrun and we also don't seem to be able to control the game like we do in the league. Our players are equal to europe's elite, there is in theory no reason why we can't go head to head with them and come out on top yet we seem to come up short each time so far. Such as last season, we were on fire, top goalscorers in the whole of Europe yet we try sit and defend against a Barca team with a very leaky defence, it made no sense to me. As a club we don't seem to have that mentality yet, teams should fear our attacking line yet we don't give them any reason to by playing so timidly.

Seeing how Roma have thrashed CSKA we could be looking at another season where 10 points might not be enough.

The problem is the fans on Sunday will still applaud Nasri as he goes to take a corner ,which to him makes it ok to not give a shit. Yaya will still get applause for a simple pass out to the wing, they won't get the message until they feel a bit of wrath towards them.

There is no chance we can win at home, clichy was getting shown up by robben and he was on the pitch for 15 minuets, i think alot of people are forgetting that bayern were also without ribery, i think they will beat us 3-0 at home.

Usually after a defeat I either fuming or down. Tonight I not arsed.

This competition is not for City. We will never be allowed to compete on an even playing field. Bookings, 50/50 decisions and penalties go against us time and time again.

Fuck it.

I agree. UEFA and all it is connected with is bent. We are the target….the pot, the draw FFP. Its all too much for it to be a coincidence

What makes it worse cant say a specific Bayern player who was very good. They played well as a team but they did not havea standout player. None of them played extremely great. We thought X. Alonso might be their weakness if we close him down but he had about 100% passing stats and we hardly were thinking on their weaknesses...

This Bayern was far from a top form Bayern also with the star players being fit they missed tonight. Trouble is even this Bayern seemed way ahead of us in defending and creating chances.

Same as last year. Barca were there for the taking but we were crap. But the manager has to take the blame here. Mourtinho would have hooked Yaya off after 30 minutes. We seem to want to play the elite teams with one midfielder.

I thought buying Fernando showed we had begun to understand what was needed. I know he was unavailable but we should have started with Milner.

It was that bad we kept them out for 90 mins and lost only on a deflected goal coming off the back of Arsenal i didn't expect much anyway but I take a lot away from tonight some people need to chill.
