Total over reaction on here for me

We supposed to carve open the best/2nd best team on the planet away from home?

90 mins gone we get a pen (for once) and/or Serg puts that way (which he often does) and we'd all be hailing a professional European away perf

But no, a deflected shot in added time and we're a bag if shite instead. I don't get it

Have to agree

Last season when we went at them and tried to go for it we got spanked 3-0.

If we went at them tonight with Toure who couldn't be arsed as he let the defenders or Alonso run past him we would of got spanked yet again.

Chelsea played defensive football throughout their champions league win and played exactly the way we did on the way to winning it.

You just can't go at teams like Bayern they will pick you off with their quick passes.

I agree it shouldn't be open but when you got chances and space to move forward with just 3 players they need to be quicker

At times Nasri had space to continue forward but he didn't

Two players i feel for them Silva and Kompany especially Silva 3 games without win when he was trying everything more than anyone

Pisssed off

At some point we are going to ru out of hard luck stories. Bayern were still better than us in almost every department, seems we only ever beat them when its a dead rubber for them

Fucked off piss poor wank defending

Of everything that hacked me off was Yaysa joking with Pep at the final; whistle like it didnt matter well it fucking does

MP needs a slap because that was poor half the fucking team looked by bunnies in the headlights at times

Very unlucky. Still feel confident we will progress and really looking forward to the roma home game.

other.than that..take.the blue blinkers off chap..It was awful.
Nasri and yaya can fuck right off for me

No I'm a blue though & through. To say we were abysmal is laughable.

Actually, yes. Look at how they responded to one or two moments of us pressing them. Mistakes. Look at their line, even Neville mentioned it... it was there to be passed through. But we didn't. Real Madrid would have and in fact did massacre them on the break in a situation like today's. We had no pace in attack at all. Fernandinho, who had a great game, would win the ball and set up a counter, but someone like Nasri would destroy it by stopping and letting Bayern reform their lines. Bayern were seriously understrength today, yet with all three of Silva, Navas and Nasri in the team we could create very few chances. It showed to me that we need a player that almost every top club has - someone from the Robben/Di Maria/Reus/Bale category - fast, direct, able to dribble (something Navas is missing) and most importantly with an end product to boast.

What makes it worse cant say a specific Bayern player who was very good. They played well as a team but they did not havea standout player. None of them played extremely great. We thought X. Alonso might be their weakness if we close him down but he had about 100% passing stats and we hardly were thinking on their weaknesses...

This Bayern was far from a top form Bayern also with the star players being fit they missed tonight. Trouble is even this Bayern seemed way ahead of us in defending and creating chances.

Same as last year. Barca were there for the taking but we were crap. But the manager has to take the blame here. Mourtinho would have hooked Yaya off after 30 minutes. We seem to want to play the elite teams with one midfielder.

I thought buying Fernando showed we had begun to understand what was needed. I know he was unavailable but we should have started with Milner.

Totally agree except that I don't think Yaya would even have been given 30mins. And this was after being given a break last weekend! Shocking lack of effort.
