Re: Bayern Munich v MCFC pre match thread

Forgot I was down to work Tuesday, quick text and a phone call and someone is down to cover for me, get in! Normally I suck it and work however some games you simply need to see. The first home and away CL games being a couple on the list.

-- Sun Sep 25, 2011 6:54 pm --

And now work have rung me back to see if I can cover more hours on the Friday and Sunday meaning I'll end up getting more money AND get to see both the games this week, bonus!!!

2:0 City with Robben (if he's not injured) to trouble us all night.

Re: Bayern Munich v MCFC pre match thread

Keep the ball off Schweinsteiger! NDJ must play if he's fit to try and help with this, if not have Milner chase him doggedly. This is one key to trying to get a result from this game. Clichy is about as good an option to go up against Robben as possible due to his pace - Kolarov will be raped if he plays.

Bayern Munich v MCFC pre match thread

For me Dzeko has to play as he will know Bayern better than most. Gotta go with 2 DM in De Jong and Barry. Keep the defence the same and put Nasri on the bench for later in the game. I'm convinced we can score goals in any game we play and believe we will score in Munich going for a tough 2-2 draw :)

Re: Bayern Munich v MCFC pre match thread

Not on ITV again, Sky Sports 2 once more. Apparently Valencia vs. Chelsea is a bigger match, what an utter farce.

It's gonna be tough for sure. They fear us, though. Tha's why they rested Boateng hoping he'll pull a MOTM performance against his old team, us. NOt to mention, they're probably going to mark Silva the whole match with that scrappy fucker Gustavo.

More so respect, than fear.

Boateng didn't play because Heynckes thought that he hasn't been the most consistent at the CB position. Which is understandable, to a degree, since he has moved around a lot through his career. I'm sure he'll be motivated to go against his former team and show what they lost.

Wrong. Heynckes rotates and tries to keep all three defenders happy. Van Buyten and Boateng have skipped places with each other for all of the season - Boateng sometimes gets additional time as a right defender. Badstuber plays all games as he is the defender with the best game opening qualities.

Actually - I don't think Boateng needs any rest. Badstuber does not get any, Lahm not and usually Mueller and Schweinsteiger do not get any either. And the last two are the ones that usually do the highest mileage. Mueller has played in every game since August 2009 apart from 2 games - a yellow/red in a CL game and the World Cup game against Spain. Lahm did not miss any minute since March 2009 until he missed 27 minutes due to a little injury two weeks ago.

Bayern Munich (A) Predictions

Since a shock opening day defeat home to M'gladbach they've won 9/9 in all competitions without conceding a goal in 838 minutes of play. Jesus what a defence, maybe we should buy one of em. Robben's fit again and scored on Saturday.

This is as tough a match as we'll have all season, facing a true European giant in top form with a host of international stars in front of 70,000 screaming Germans only 72 hrs after a bruising, energy sapping battle with a gang of thugs.

I'd be delighted with a point but I fear we're gonna take a bit of a battering

2-0 Bayern

Good luck to all blues making the trip
