Be honest were you there?

I was living in Sheffield at the time and a few mates came over for the weekend so I couldn't get to the match

It was the only home game I missed all season

Didn't know whether to laugh or cry when we were watching the results coming in on the teleprinter. Man City 10 (ten) Huddersfield 1. The ten written out so you knew it wasn't a mistake

I was there. There was about 8 of us that used to stand just to the left of the half way line about half way back in the Kippax. It was normally the Langley and Middleton lads that used to stand there week in week out. Went there 4 of us cramped into a Fiat Uno. Happy days.

Was in Port Stanley at the time and Ryanair hadn't quite reached that outpost. Though saying that, if they were they would have said 'an airport just outside Buenos Aires' no doubt!

how many of you were at the 10-1 win against Huddersfield. There used to be about 8 of us who went together in them days but we had been playing shit just before this game and all my mates backed out for one reason or another.
A rag mate of mine came with me to the game to test out a fancy new camera he had just bought, I found the photos in a box the other day he gave them me after they were developed. Not seen them for years and it got me thinking about it. Even my rag mate was shouting for a tenth goal at the end, weren't you reggie.

I didnt start watching City until 1988-89 season, it was Leicester at home 4-2 win in 89 my first game, i was 6! So it was before my time!

Missed it due to going to some stupid bloody 80 year olds birthday party in the pissin afternoon for a stupid bloody ex girlfriend - WTF was I thinking!
I am over it now (the girlfriend but not missing the game). My best mate is a Town fan and he stayed until it was 9

I was there, with my dad.

As we approached Maine Road you could see the TV vans outside. We cut across the front of a bunch of Huddersfield fans being escorted by the cops down Lloyd Steet.

'Oh, great,' said one, 'we're on TV!'

I bet he wished we weren't afterwards. I remember going to a fireworks party that night with my then girlfriend (now missus) and watching it on the box, the end to a perfect day.

I'd just started uni in Manchester and was living in Rusholme.
Took some non-city friends to the game and they couldn't believe it.
Distinctly remember England played in the world cricket final against Pakistan in India that night. It started just after the City highlights and I was in an 'advanced state of refreshment' but still stayed up all night to watch us lose.
The Plymouth game I went to on the Tuesday I think finished 6-3. Picked up the paper the following morning and discovered my home town non-league club Chorley had won 9 -1 away at Canaervon the same night.

There will never be another week like that for goals!
