I was there,

My first ever live football match, was 8 years old. My Mums boss was a City fan and he had promised me to take me up there, Was with the rugby branch of the Supporters club (I think?) mini bus on the way up, amazing day all round.

Sat on the wall in the Kippax being too scared to join in the singing, although can remember screaming "we want ten, we want ten"

Totally hooked from that day onwards

I was there. We were a bit crap for the 1st 20 mins. I remember a Huddersfield fan ringing a phone in after the game complaining that 2 goals were offside. The guy hosting the show replied 'what about the other 8 ?' Do you remember their penalty ? Simpathy vote from the ref. Never a penalty.

i didnt go because as people said it was only huddersfield.....i listened to the game in my mates house, both of us gobsmacked at the score as more & more goals went in ;0

What a game to start with! Hope you didn't think it'd be like that every week.

In response to the point about Hudders starting really well - my folks videoed the Granada highlights, and when I moved out of my old house a little while back I found the tape and watched it on my old VCR (previously consigned to the garage in the age of DVD!).

They may have had other decent moves as well, but Hudders were shown missing two one-on-ones before we scored our first. Obviously, after that, it was pretty much one-way traffic.

[Impeccable]

A work colleague went with a rag colleague to see United draw 0-0 in the midweek, I suggested he come with me to this game coz it wouldn't be 0-0!!! He did and the rest is history.

I was there with my 2 stepsons. It was the only City game they ever saw as their mother divorced me just after the game. Their loss!
