As for it being an "anthem", I'm sure it was played at the Queen's (Gawd bless her!) coronation in 1953, so it's hardly original - not that you mentioned it, I hasten to add.

You can bet its going to bother them when 30,000 fans boo them at the final (whenever hopefully we get there)fucking waste of time and air booing when you've already paid your 60 quid in or whatever.
If you are dead set against Uefa, boycott champions league games, both on tv and at the ground. Booing isn't really going to bother them is it when they've got millions watching at home and a packed stadium?

I say bollocks. Boo if you want to.Looking st some of the decision making by the referee in the PSG / Madrid game, I can't help but feel we are at risk of dubious refereeing.
So, the teams are all lined up, with small 'RESPECT' t-shirted child stood in front of each player.
The referee's team, all proud, stood to attention in their shiny new UEFA uniforms.
The CL 'jingle' starts playing and thousands of City fans start their 'booathon'.
What is immediately going into this refereeing team's minds?
For a start, any of them with a brain is thinking, WTF!
The main ref, probably well versed by Collina, is thinking, 'We can't have this going on in the final, cheeky feckers, Who do they think they are?'
I still believe they won't have, 'new money' winning their cup.
However, to give our team and Pep every chance, we as the 12th man have to forget UEFA's 'previous' with us, show a bit of decorum and zip it for their anthem.
Then scream from the rafters to cheer this team on to a title they fully deserve. 'European Champions'!

Absolutely, I think my main point is if people feel that passionate about UEFA then why bother? why put money into the competition? I appreciate people will want to support city regardless but if anything it only looks negative on our club and fan base.

It's your choice just like it's everybody else's choice. If you want to applaud or hum along to the chumps league ditty it won't bother me, why do you care if people want to boo.

Perhaps you could take up something less tribal? Something that won't offend your heightened sensitivities so much. Fishing? Stamp collecting?
Very true, behave how you want. The same people who do this then cry about how our support is laughed and mocked up and down the country. If you want to boo, wear ribbons that's fine but then take the abuse on the chin. For me it screams small time, weak, victim, everyone is against us mentality.
I boo and have never complained or cried as you put it about how our support is laughed at. 30,000 against Blackpool in the third tier says enough for me. I have a pair of balls and that is why I don't care what some horrible nasty yoonitid fan says about our support.
I wear the yellow ribbon becasue I am old enough to decide what I think is right and worthy of support and I boo because it is a great way to show the fuckers that I believe they are corrupt self serving bastards.

Some stray bullets flying around on this thread. By condemning booing it does not mean you think Uefa is not corrupt. Telling those who boo to vote with their feet and stop going is a childish response, implying we cant support City and call out corruption at the same time. As protests go, it's basic costs nothing and is impossible to stop, short of a major purge at uefa ( as if) .like it or lump it time . I love the way some City fans tell me how to behave, my Mum stopped doing that when I left school you lot can't seem to stop. Weird.

Wednesday was the first time I've been there in time for the UEFA jingle. Must admit I enjoyed having a good old hearty boo. Very therapeuticnever get the chance to boo im still in the queue trying to get in

I hate booing in general. Not the noise. But it is the most pissy, least productive form of protest. It has become so common as to be almost redundant. Boo at half time, Boo if you don't score. Boo if the manager doesn't wave. Boo if the tea is cold. Boo a song. Boo the ref. Boo sky. Boo BT sports. Boo Uefa. Fucking hell. If you don't like it don't go.
Difference is mate I have never booed my team and never would.
Why should I stop going to games I pay good money for ...if you hate the booing so much then you stay away.
I would say more supporters boo the annoying fucking jingle than don't boo it, but even if I was alone in booing it I wouldn't care.
I'm not arsed whether fans boo the jingle or cheer like fuck when it's played...I think UEFA is corrupt and it's all about protecting the old guard.
