Strange quote unless it is laden with sarcasm. I too love my country but I am not an overhyped prima donna living on past glories and a media circus.
If uninjured and he were to go to the World Cup it would be a sad indicment of our game and the media obsessed state of our country.
I would not normally welcome any player picking up an injury but if it is true I will raise a glass and say "well at least now we have a chance"

Couldn't agree more.
I said after the 2002 World Cup that it was time dozy david to be dropped and his performances for England since then have never improved.

You don't remember EIGHT Liverpool players representing England then? Thats Eight of the starting Eleven.
At the end of the day, I don't care which club they play for, they represent my country of birth and will get my support. I think you may be in the minority!
Yeah I remember the eight dippers because it was all the BBC used to talk about, the Liverpool/England coningent. I'm extremely patriotic, but I cant stand how the media beefs up this England side and then destroys it when it fails. Also, as Ive mentioned, I find it hard to cheer the likes of Rooney and Carrick etc when I curse em every week for their club. As for Beckham, its also a personal issue, I wont go into it, but its not just that he played for the rags, I just hate the b*stard full stop.

naaaa. tbh if its coming to the last 20 and people have tired legs and arnt as quick who do you want coming on? Beckham who is probably slower than those who are tireing or walcott, lennon or somebody like milner?
im glad hes out of the world cup because the selfish prick wud have took some promising youngsters place.
hes the biggest ferguson arse licker out there and its cringeworthy to see. Baconface doesnt even give him any credit back and he constantly tries to lick his arse again and again!!!
glad hes gone and wont be a big loss to the game if he retires because hes been shit for many years now

Just my opinion. I dont give a shit about where he played in the past, or now for that matter. It doesn't matter, for England they all come under the same banner. I'd happily bring Beckham on for the last 20 minutes of a game when set pieces are very important. He's proven time and again he can change a game, something which the likes of Milner or Walcott could. And seriously, Walcott is gash.

Thank you, as Ive already said call me bitter if you want, but I find it hard to support any England team that is so rag biased. And as for the wankers telling me to catch the school, honestly is that the best you can do, pricks

Get Mummy to give you some Calpol. You,re obviously suffering from illness.
Failing that book an appointment to see a "shrink"
Hostilities between Club Teams are put aside during any English games.
You are NO more English than Taggart.
You obviously must see something in Shrek to want him to get so badly hurt.
Nobody is Bluer than me and I hope he has a slight injury before we meet the rags in April. We,ve seen 3 times this year what he can do to us.
BUT I SINCERELY HOPE HE,S FIT FOR ENGLAND.
Has Mummys Calpol worked yet little boy ????????
