Tbh I haven't watched the last two games, since i've grown tired of watching dross meaningless friendlies, but the last time I can remember was the Slovakia friendly, we were 1-0 up but playing shite. Beckham came on and provided a brilliant cross which Rooney converted, we went on to win 4-0. Granted thats only Slovakia and it was a year ago, but I still think he has something to offer coming off the bench.

Agree, i'm still not sure we've anyone even close to capable of replacing him:

All bar Johnson have been given thier chance, all have failed. Don't care what anyone says about Beckham he's the best deliverer of a ball in to the box i've seen this generation, he still got enough to make the WC squad if fit.

I do think lennon is quality, the rest not so at international level. Johnson could replace him, but its too soon to make that judgement

Managed to do both achilles, one snapped, the other ruptured. 10 weeks in plaster (after the op) by which time the muscle has pretty much wasted away. Can't see him making it, even though I doubt he'll use the NHS!
