Beckham could be out of the world cup... thank god...

to be honest yes i want england to win the world cup because it would be brilliant but seriously shoot me down if you want but its what i feel. If city lost any premier league game i wud be more pissed off than if england got knocked out of the world cup before the straight knockouts. I just dont feel the same about england than i do with city

Get Mummy to give you some Calpol. You,re obviously suffering from illness.
Failing that book an appointment to see a "shrink"
Hostilities between Club Teams are put aside during any English games.
You are NO more English than Taggart.
You obviously must see something in Shrek to want him to get so badly hurt.
Nobody is Bluer than me and I hope he has a slight injury before we meet the rags in April. We,ve seen 3 times this year what he can do to us.
BUT I SINCERELY HOPE HE,S FIT FOR ENGLAND.
Has Mummys Calpol worked yet little boy ????????

Since when did patriotism or how much you support your national team have anything to do with maturity? I was much more in to supporting England when I was about 12 than I am now. Plently of people aren't that arsed about England, it doesn't make them less mature than you, it just means they don't think in exactly the same way as you. Which I am sure you find horrifying. You don't agree with the fella, fine, but what you have just posted is embarrassing drivel.

Sorry pal... I know you retracted it to some extent, but your post about getting his leg smashed into pieces was by far the most embarrassing drivel posted...

We need to leave the bitterness behind now... we are almost on their level.

When was the last time he changed a game to any real effect?

Tbh I haven't watched the last two games, since i've grown tired of watching dross meaningless friendlies, but the last time I can remember was the Slovakia friendly, we were 1-0 up but playing shite. Beckham came on and provided a brilliant cross which Rooney converted, we went on to win 4-0. Granted thats only Slovakia and it was a year ago, but I still think he has something to offer coming off the bench.

No you need to leave the bitterness behind, I will think and do exactly what I want, thank you very much. I'm glad you said you think his mummy's boy/calpol nonsense was less embarrassing than my post, it makes me feel more comfortable about your judgement of things.

Agree, i'm still not sure we've anyone even close to capable of replacing him:

SWP
Lennon
Walcott
Johnson
Bentley

All bar Johnson have been given thier chance, all have failed. Don't care what anyone says about Beckham he's the best deliverer of a ball in to the box i've seen this generation, he still got enough to make the WC squad if fit.

The last time he really turned a game (of any importance) was against Greece in 2001.

If anyone can think of another more recent occasion then please feel free to enlighten us :-)

My memories a bit hazy but didn't Lennon run rings round Croatia or someone like that?

Anyone, still don't care. Chuffed as fuck the cockney rag twat is out of the world cup, that's assuming he would have actually gone there...

Fair point, perhaps i'd have some ammo if it weren't for the wally with the brolly! He's turned plenty of games of importance in WC06, but not from the bench.

-- Mon Mar 15, 2010 1:11 pm --

I do think lennon is quality, the rest not so at international level. Johnson could replace him, but its too soon to make that judgement

Blimey Charlie, that is utterly bizarre. "may God extend his hand on dat injury.amen" Too weird.

Totally agree it stops the scenario of bringing a player who is past his best and keeping a younger better player out of the squad purely based upon reputation and personality.

This from his facebook profile...

During the 1996/97 season, he famously scored from the halfway line (a feat not even the great Pele accomplished) against Wimbledon.

I'm ever so glad he's not an arrogant twat.

Wasn't that the Walcott hattrick? They've all been given chances and all have subsequently been dropped/replaced... no ones been able to make the number 7 thier own yet.

SSN reporting that he's ruptured it, and Leonardo quoted as saying he most likely wont make the World Cup. How long is the rehab on that kind injury??

Managed to do both achilles, one snapped, the other ruptured. 10 weeks in plaster (after the op) by which time the muscle has pretty much wasted away. Can't see him making it, even though I doubt he'll use the NHS!

SSN just in.

"Flags are to be raised at half mast as a mark of respect for David Beckham's injury. Sources also tell us there will be a minute's silence held at some stage as a mark of respect for him missing the world cup. Black arm bands will be worn for England's next fixture when they play Japan on 30th May 2010."

No it was when we beat them 5-1 and Lennon won a penalty and set one or two up. Anyway, as I said I still don't care, just chuffed beckham's done for
