Beckham could be out of the world cup... thank god...

unfortunately for england, beckham still is the best crosser of the ball we have, lennon, walcott and our greedy swp are nowhere near as good with the final ball
these three need to do alot of improving then we can forget about beckham playing for england

sad to hear it tho,he does love the country

But I think he loves MANUre more!

Won't be out of the World Cup and will probably be on our screens more now he won't be on the pitch. Wonder which tv executives are now hot-footing it over to Finland to get his signature on a 'pundits' contract. Hope there are alternatives to watch!

I'm generally not a vindictive kind of person, apart from where MANUre and their players are concerned, but I have a much lighter heart today!

Beckham will still go to the World Cup in some capacity.
Unfortunately the FA need him to be involved for their 2018 World Cup bid.
At least he wont be in the squad though.

A real shame for him. He's always a threat with set pieces and in light of the all the other headlines surrounding England at the moment, he is a true pro who's always kept himself fit and proudly represented his country.

On a brighter note that surely pushs AJs chances of a deserved call up and for the record what a goal, definately meant it!

There won't be any point in supporting England if he gets injured.

Naff off mate, Call me bitter all you want, but I find it hard to support any England side that boasts so many bleeding rags

what a sad pathetic bunch some of our fans are.

I am gutted for him....if england had a whole squad with as much passion for their country as beckham does, we would walk the world cup.
I really couldnt give a shit how much money he earns, or that he played for united, or that he still supports them, or that he plays for galaxy....he is still one of our best 23 players and on that basis alone he should go to the world cup.

We have people slagging him off cause he has made negative comments about us....i suppose the same people want to hear ex city players saying how good united are! what do you expect him to say...hes a united fan ffs!

I hope it doesnt force him to retire, because despite everyones jealousy, he doesnt deserve that.

That really is a strange post smevchenko. As much passion as Beckham, what like the tackle he wimped out of in Japan against Brazil leading to their winning goal ? or his petulant strop leading to his sending off in another World Cup? I don't care that he is an ex rag, Brian Kidd not to mention Denis Law are but that doesn't make me despise them. Beckham (and his wife) support themselves and no one else. They are media whores desperate for the attention, perhaps my anger would be better served by being directed towards the sad people who feel they have to put him on a pedastal.

I am already sick of all the hype now surrounding the fact that he is not going. I bet Capello is relieved, now he doesn't have to take flack for not picking him.

Could possibly be the end of his career.

As a football fan, I think its a massive shame. The World Cup would be a fitting way for him to bow out of football. Without question he is the best passer of the ball I have ever seen.

Anyone who hates him because he played for united, is just pathetic. In his day he was an outstanding player.
