Bellamy In Bust Up With Mancini - (Merged)

Re: Bellamy In Bust Up With Mancini - according to The Scum

not entirely sure bout this. they have tried this exact same story almost when mancini first arrived, something about pushing him too hard in training not knowing the full story with his knee. he then got dropped for a game (4 or 5 days after his previous one which WE know he can't handle) which of course meant bust up and bellamy going to spuds in jan.

then again most of us thought the fight story was media bullshit, til the pictures were out. visit to a specialist indeed

Farrer and Co I think are his weapon of choice in such matters. Through the grapevine, I'm not sure he was entirely without blame in the Panacea incident, perhaps explaining why he didn't press charges. That said, he plays better angry, so hope he's there on Sunday

Farrer, Panone Manches, Carter Ruck; they all piss in the same pot; hate them all, hate the publicists, the agents, the interfering fathers etc. Swings and roundabouts pressing charges on the other one; how would he explain being pissed up in a brawl outside a club? Breach of club rules etc. I hope he runs the Mickeys ragged too.

Bullshit.

As Jack Charlton once asked. 'Can I storm out now, please?'.

There was no training today, can you see Mancini, who has to think hard about his English, shouting at Bellamy like that, and where did this reporter get his story from when Carrington had a day off?

I don't believe it.

did you believe this?

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/dec/11/robinho-manchester-city" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009 ... ester-city</a>

there's quotes and everything :)

Robinho said those things, yes. He always does when he has moved to a new club, and he is saying the same thing again now he is with Santos. He said it when he went to Real Madrid as well.

It's one thing to have an interview with someone, but to drag up a bit of gossip, if it is gossip, and dress it up as fact is another thing entirely.

The way the story is constructed just smacks of bullshit, and it probably is.

Like I wrote, is it reasonable to expect Mancini to say those words?

Lets' put it another way. Using your experience of life, of an everyday existence, do you really believe it happened?

Could it not be a case of a desperate reporter being dispatched to Carrington with a message from his editor to dig up the dirt, and when said reporter gets there, he finds out the players have been given the day off?

What does he do?

He files bullshit.

I'm no lover of the press, and certainly not the sun, but it is overly dramatic, and like I said, I don't believe it.

I can tell you this:

1. You are wrong. He has not made that story up. They are giving it big licks and it's up as an exclusive by one of their leading sports/football writers.
2. You are basing your assertions on fewer facts than you say Custis has... why?
3. If you think an editor tells his reporters to "Go and dig the dirt up at Carrington" you have paranoia issues. Doesn't happen mate.
4. What could have happened is something like this: someone knows/heard about a row. That someone; CB/RM/agent/tealady/delivery man/etc lets press know for a few bob. They go to the Sun cos they have the biggest circulation and pay the most. They put their top reporter on it; he calls CB and puts it to him. CB either fills him in but insists on remaining anonymous or tells reporter to do one. If he does the latter reporter asks him to deny the story.
If this story is made up then RM/CB and the club will have writs on the Sun's desk at 9am today, simple as. We'll see if that happens.

by the way: "when he has moved to a new club"... this interview was just before Christmas not when he moved to City

and he might well be saying the same things at Santos... er, except he's still our player and he hasn't moved there - loan

but you miss my point about the press being used by players... probably on purpose

Why people on here are dismissing this as tabloid naughtiness when it's in a few papers including the Times is very odd. Guess what, it's probably spot on, both are under pressure as Bellers has been well out of sorts of late and Mancini has taken our football back into the stoneage. Time for the mighty Santa Cruz and Adebayor to flex their muscles, I'm not holding my breath!

A bit off topic, but does anyone know why bellamy hasnt been playing the last few games???
