Obviously there are other factors, fantastic saves from Given etc, but the fact is that without his strikes we would have been 4 points worse off than we are.

Indeed.
Everyone, including the man himself, knows he's a fairly short term solution (see his cleaning players boots comment) but if he's scoring goals and helping the side, how is he a bad signing?

Yeh, the fact that he can finish better than any striker we have had since Anelka is down to being a clogger, no skill at all.
And waht does that say about the state of our club in the last few years? Bellamy is a journeyman your average premiership player and all of a sudden we're lickin the poisend dwarfs arse. Lets just get real we're hero worshipping a evill little runt that nobody wants

He isn't. That's the point.
But he IS a piece in the jigsaw that allows us to progress. It's the "progression" thing though that most fans fall out about I think. Some want it to happen NOW and some want a quieter progression that puts us on an even keel to ATTACK when the time is right..
i said on here, that people should stop moralising over Bellamy and getting precious about the signing, if he can stay fit, he will be a crucial signing for us. He has put more effort in in 2 games than 'Robbie' has in the season so far. A all-round committed character, we now a have a few of them, and i am well pleased about it.
