Benjamin Mendy - 2018/19 Performances

It will be interesting to see how we use him. We seem to have become obsessed with our full backs cutting into midfield. I want to see Mendy marauding forward and playing to his strengths, not dithering on the ball in the middle of the park, playing 5 yard sideways passes.

One of the great things about Mendy being back is it means we can play Aguero + Jesus up front together if we want. Sterling & Sané have played a lot of football recently so that'll give Pep a chance to rest them when he wants and the 3 CB's means we could probably get away with Gundogan at the back of midfield and resting Fern.

Mendy opens up so many tactical changes for Pep.

Just be good to see him on the pitch again. Let’s hope he can stay fit for the rest of the season because if we want to progress in the CL further than the QF we need him.
