benji to sunderland

valerie bodjinov (out on loan) adam johnson (boro winger who ripped us apart in fa cup)

This was mentioned somewhere on here. But Benjani going doesnt mean another striker is on the way in. It COULD mean we are going to sign Johnson and then Bellamy is freed up to cover strikers.

see what I mean about nitwits

1999–2002 Jomo Cosmos 45 (20)
2001–2002 → Grasshopper (loan) 25 (1)
2001–2005 Auxerre 72 (19)
2006–2008 Portsmouth 70 (19)
2008– Manchester City 23 (4)

So what in those stats make you think he was ever worth signing, virtually permanently offside when not being lazy. 235 games and 63 goals with a return of 23 goals in 103 appearances in the UK, virtually 1 goal per 5 games in the UK, 1 per 4 games when including the mickey mouse leagues. Vassell had 265 appearances and 52 goals, all in the PL with him being played at City on the wing for a lot of his time here which is directly comparable to Benjani's utter crap goal record.

If you can't face the fact he is a gash striker that was a misguided panic buy how about you provide your evidence instead of crappy one-liners calling someone a nitwit

Well it's like this my blue friend, if you want someone to be sold it's possibly not a helpful thing to dwell on his less than good points on a public forum. You just never know who reads this stuff.

Benjani is a really good front man and I'd be sorry to see him leave.

£1.5 million and we save £50k a week wages. Take the money quick.

Seriously though its not that hes a bad player, just midtable and very average. Also injured 90% of the time. Hes out of contract in the summer so to get that money and save he wages is a big bonus. Would pretty much pay for Johnson transfer fee.

Are city finally showing some common sense in the transfer market.

Still a good deal hes on £50k a week apparently. Thats £1.2 million in wages till the end of his contract so £1.7 million towards Johnsons fee. Great bit of business.

Quick get it done before they change there minds.

Victor Moses is available for £2 million ish. Much better player, young english and hungry be a better option now and certainly moving forward.

Fully expect there to be a bidding war towards the end of the window for him with Spuds, city, Everton, Villa, SUnderland and god knows who else all in for him.

Do not sell him.

His merits as a city player are debatable, but we are playing into our opponents hands.

If we sell Benj, then Sunderland will let Liverpool have Kenwyn Jones - who is on his day a great striker. Don't let the dippers have a forward who may drive them on. Keep Benjami, he can do a job when required and the thought of strengthening the dippers would be too dangerous at this stage of the season.
