So just to be clear, you're now complaining that Sterling won 2 awards last year because you're not sure of the motivation behind it.

You've created a paranoid delusion when it's a travesty if our players don't win, and if they do win.
Oh i'm very sure of the motivation as is every city fan in this country who have to read and watch him being torn apart every day,i'm very happy he is getting recognition for his work, this is time to seperate the football awards which is what bernie is talking about and you know it

Don't get me wrong, he wouldn't have won the award if he wasn't brilliant on the pitch, but I think it's accurate to say that he won it as much for his newfound role as a role model as for his performances. Plenty of journalists, who were the ones voting, said as much.

One of the most bizarre things about Bernardo being overlooked for individual awards is that Portugal won the Nations League and Bernardo was reportedly their best player. By not really recognising that, they're basically devaluing their own tournament, and admitting that it's a glorified friendly, because there's no way that the best player at the European Championship would ever be overlooked. As for the Portugal award, well Bernardo won 3 tournaments with his club compared to 1 for Ronaldo (a trophy that is pretty much guaranteed these days), with Ronaldo having his worst individual goal haul for 10 years. Meanwhile Bernardo was arguably the best player in the Premier League. The fact that most Portugal fans are shocked says it all.

Funny you should say that about Ronnie
Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo won the Portuguese Player of the Year award, beating Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix and Bernardo Silva to the award.i don't think Felix did much the deserve it but bernie certainly did

I do take issue with your first bit about Raz,none of them voted because he is a brilliant footballer, pretty much only blues think that, they got on side for him being a role model for racism, they really could not have not done that

Then shouldn’t credit be given for their conversion from pillorying him for breathing to respecting him as a decent human?

And regarding his playing credentials, few journos (or anyone else) now doubt his ability, influence and contribution to those 198 points.

I question there motivation for their over night change of stance,of course how raz has grown as a player and stepped up to be a role model is fantastic,i'm made up for him,the fact remains he only got slagged off by the media and when he plays for england right up until that moment,i don't think our media,Samuels apart deserve credit for anything when it comes to us,they would have looked like the ****s they are if they had not gone with the racist stuff

Just popped in to say Bernie is brilliant. We are truly blessed with the squad we've assembled.. All first class individuals who come across as humble people..
