Bernardo Silva contract situation

Hope our team see how stupid a deal that is for us and that we shouldn't be under any pressure to sell to a team/league who constantly try to sue us for financial doping

€120mil for Bernardo and then we shoukd get FDJ for €60mil....sounds fair Bernardo is so clear
Yeah he's a 100m pound player every day of the week but we never stand in the way of players wanting to leave, we both know if he played for the dippers they would be demanding 120m

Whether you like it or not, for someone who lived most of their life in a climate where it is warm for 9 months a year and the associated lifestyle, it can be important. It's not *the* most important factor; if it was he would move back to Portugal...and he's not going to move back to Portugal because their clubs aren't competitive and can't afford wages.

However, if you can get the same money as at City, playing in the CL, for one of the most historic clubs (certainly seen as the biggest & most important from most on the Iberian peninsula), in a beautiful and warm city, and be nearer to your family...then that is going to have some appeal.

It's not a black and white decision, there will be plenty making him want to stay (trophies, chance to win CL, fans who love him, teammates, Pep)
but pretending that some players who grew up in a Mediterranean climate aren't at all arsed that it is miserable in UK except for a random 5 weeks a year is a bit odd. Add the other factors (family, new challenge, boyhood dream) and its a tough choice.
it was not about the weather, he was cut off from his family and friends because of covid , now he is settled with his girl things might have changed

Bernardo is trending on twitter, seems lots of the kfa are saying he has an agreement with the club to leave this summer with the fee being 80-100 million euros and he's Barca's number 1 target

Must be true then eh....

They've sold a 25% of their TV rights of league games for the next 25 years as well as 49% of their merchandising company. Mainly in order to pay the players they already have. They owe Pique a fortune in unpaid wages alone.
Are you serious? This is the football equivalent of a pay day loan to compete with the neighbours. I've just heard the clip on the La Liga complaint explaining that Tebas wants to protect football from money coming from outside the game, and the obvious question is what he's going to do about Barcelona selling its future. Amazing,

Absolutely. The money owed to Pique is just over €50m in deferred wages. They're doing anything to make a buck right now:

Pay to play at Camp Nou

Just reporting it trending, never claimed it to be true

Again just put what's being said jeez
Yeah but why? If my neighbour messaged me he has heard that Kyle Walker is going to Madrid for 80 million it would be hearsay. Why would i re post it on here? Its not news its just twitter junk where people make things up and then claim it to be news.

He certainly won’t be going to Barca this summer. They are in even worse financial shape than last season. Can’t even yet register their free transfer signings. They owe £200m in unpaid/deferred wages alone, including to people who don’t even play for them anymore
i can’t see how they arent in administration yet. Any other business where the debts so colossally dwarf the profitability then the bank comes in, gets as much of its money back, withdraws the loan facilities and then triggers whatever process of bankruptcy or administration that country has.

Think we should send the bailiffs in to repossess Torres.
