We should behave a little like Brighton. If they don't match the asking price (which should he well in excess of 100m) then it's a no deal regardless of whether the player wants to leave.

What happens if Barcelona meet out asking price on the final days of the window? Do we let him go without a replacement? Seems crazy.

As much as a laughing stock it’s been this Summer around him, he’s an unbelievable player and perfect for us. He was in 2018 and he still is now.

It won’t happen, though, but trust we won’t lose somebody as vital as Bernie and not replace him.

You just can't tell with Bernardo, he's the sort of guy who is either laughing at Barca and thinks it's so stupid that he refuses to give it credit or he's keen on the move and is keeping quiet in the hopes that it may happen.

I hope for us he stays, as the Spanish league is basically RM and he's such a quality player.
