You lost me when you said Phillips is an upgrade on Ferna. More energy maybe, but upgrade?

Have a word..
Than Dinho of the past 2 seasons or so? Not even debatable. The parochialism put forth by some on here borders on the absurd. Phillips is a MASSIVE upgrade. That's just reality.

Given that neither were going to play many games due to Rodri being the undisputed first choice, I would've rather we just kept Fernandinho for one more year than sign an injury prone Phillips to be honest. I think he could've still done a job and his presence in the dressing room was invaluable.
Don't quit your day job.

Not sure how true but Duncan Castles tweeted Bernardo has turned down the improved contact that was offered - any truth in that @tolmie's hairdoo? If so, must surely be his final season, turns 29, 2 years left after this season! I guess it gives them 12 months to find a top quality replacement!

Castles said it was KDB level wages as well. Can't see that tbh.

massively agree.

Pep rolling out Ferna for the semi final in 2021 against chelsea and he got roasted by Mount all game. Hooked at half time in the villa game last season. He was pants for 18 months in any position.

Castles is shite on most matters relating to football - laughably out of touch and unreliable, and unfortunately lacking even the most basic personal credibility required to encourage anyone of note to give him the time of day - but he has positioned himself as one of Mendes’ lapdogs, so is pretty decent on info for Gestifute clients.

Of whom Bernardo is one.

Tolmie said we had offered him a new contract, now castles reporting in the times he has rejected it

Also stating he has agreed terms with PSG

I'll take what I've seen of the potential in Alvarez and Haaland alone over Sterling, Jesus and Zinch combined.

As great as Jesus has looked thus far at Arsenal- he was not and possibly couldn't replicate that here. Sterling gave us his all up until the end simply was done here. I think Gomez will be worlds better.
You're wasting your breath trying to convince some negative Neds on here. They don't have a bit of progressiveness (in footballing terms) in them. Love bringing in 22 year olds Haaland and Alvarez along with 21 year old Gomez. And Phillips is 10 years Dinho's junior. What are we talking about here?

I can’t understand why there’s even speculation at this point. We can’t afford to sell him at this point simply because we’d lose one of our most important players with no replacement. There’s simply no one available to replace him, Paqueta is about to sign for West Ham, Nunes is at Wolves, Bellingham isn’t available this summer. FDJ doesn’t interest us this season.
