Bernardo Silva

I mean. I’ve got to think, the interview was done with his and i assume the club’s agreement. A very clear way to express. The lad is yours. 100 million euros, but we must have a replacement. I highly doubt we’ll sell once we’ve gone past 15-20th of August. But again I reiterate, why go through this scenario again, in 9-10 months. Get it done, sign, replace be done.

Jude in the summer, and Paqueta probably now.

We’re still winning the league, we’re still the best team in England, and top 3 in the World.

He’s not Messi in his prime, he’s not Xavi, he is tough to replace, I’d give you that, but we can.
We didn’t die after: Kompany, Aguero, Silva. We are not exploding after Bernardo.
Lots of people presuming we are going to get Bellingham

He could well end up at the scousers

Mate, not being funny, how can you all, have such little faith in our manager? How can he be the title decider? KDB went on a spree last season, if he’s going, we ain’t winning.

High work rate, good finishing, good positional play, and a good character. I didn’t say world class. Filter that by an age group, players profile, and with about 100 million, you’ll find enough players.

Will they have an immediate impact? No, will they get up to speed by January/Feb/March? Fuck yes. I just don’t understand the drama.
We have loads of fantastic players but there are still some more critical than others and I'd put Bernardo in the very few who we can depend on to be consistently excellent. Without that core then we are likely to do well but not as well as we otherwise would be likely to.

It's all just a percentage here and there. Liverpool don't allow us much room for error in the league. And it's the league that is the highest priority for me.

Wants out, that's clear as day but seems as though he respects that City haven't stood in his way and any failed move is down to potential buyers and not City and so won't sulk and will knuckle down.

As much as we will allow players to leave if they want, there comes a point where we have to look after ourselves. we can't let barca do what they want, dick us around whilst they go and spend £150 million on others, and then attempt to sign him last minute for well below his value and fuck up our season in the process.

We should have said we will let you leave for x amount as long as its before a certain date like what Dortmund did with Sancho, after that deadline if he's still here hes going nowhere. It's then down to his agent and barca if he doesn't end up where he wants.

And if you're Bernardo, he's seemingly told Barca he's willing to go there despite their issues yet hes sat and watched all summer as they've spent £150 million on others players, can't be a good feeling for Bernardo knowing they see him as less of a priority than an average winger like Raphinha even though he'd arguably be their best player if he were to sign for them.

I don’t understand their need for a huge central midfield signing. They already have Pedri , Gavi , Kessie , De Jong , Pjanic , Busquets. If I was them I would have kept Nico Gonzalez . I’d take him at City
If they have too many, I’d take Pedri in a heartbeat. He’s not from their academy so I assume he Won’t be swayed by the cule thing

Absolutely spot on!

And that is what gives me hope… not that he’s here long term, just another year. Barca are a shambles and have not prioritised this and I live in hope that we’re not about to bend over and let them run roughshod over us! So keep him this year and he’s not the sort to kick up a fuss, then expect it to happen next year and get Bellingham in or whoever else is our contingency.

Paul hirst . Same old. Clubs message is clear huge fee to sign him this season. Ball is in barca's court now

Agreed… from his comments, he clearly wants out, but he’s also professional enough to get his head down again, if he doesn’t get a move. It’s a positive that it’s seemingly only Barca in for him, and they are a shambles, so every chance it doesn’t get done and he’s here another year. The whole saga thou, has darkened my view on Bernardo! To want to leave us and join that shower is a shitshow! I’m prepared for him to leave, but hopeful he’ll stay another year because of Barca’s predicament.
I think part of it is that he'd be closer to home too. It is odd that he'd want to leave at all until they win the CL.

This transfer is getting old. I love bernie but fuck me I am at the point where if he doesn’t leave this year I don’t want to have to listen to it again next year. He is becoming kind of annoying. I get it he wants to go to Spain or whatever but I also fee disrespected by him towards oir club idk. Barca are broke if he wants to go there tough shit. Pay up or stay put. End of it.

The problem is next summer we have gundogan leaving, Bernardo (if he doesn't this summer), and a 32 year old kdb.

Either grealish or foden need to be dropped back this season or we are going to need two midfielders of Bernardo and gundo quality in the same window. That's a fucking huge ask.

He’d be a revelation in la liga, also becoming the main man since messi; he’s an intelligent footballer and all the dots joined make it appealing, however, and stand by this, I think city will shift the goal posts for one last season!

Bernardo is hardly shouting his mouth off. It’s Twitter and media bollox fuelling the fire

Why this season gundo and KDB are still here

I’m 44 and totally get what you’re saying, I’ve a 4 year old and 1 year old and I want to bounce around with them but some days can’t find the energy to bloody make a brew let alone run around. It’s hard on them but I’ll keep going and we’ll get through it.
One of my worst things other than the fatigue is pains in my chest, they think it’s nerve damage but as it’s around my heart and having had the issues it gives you pause for thought.
Those bloody Chinese owe me free food for life I think ;) thanks for the well wishes though, appreciated.
To everyone else, sorry to spam the thread.
Don't lose that sense of humour
Hope better health returns to you soon

I`m with you on this mate.Gives us greater time to look not for one midfielder but probably 2/3 and I would expect a "gentlemans agreement" to be in place between Pep and Bernie.Unlike that twat Levy I don`t think Pep would renege on any such deal.

I also expect City to move for Bellingham and we`ll not have much difficulty getting him and he wont be swayed by going to the Dippers, due to his very good friendship with our Number 9. ;)
