Nope if your Pep you want player on your side his stance will usually always have players on his side even ones who want to move on..
would make sense but Bernardo already stated at the weekend that he`s happy & would fully focus on City for the next season

Why do some people get so easily offended , Sterling , Hinchcliffe , Talksport , Pep ( in this thread ) I could go on but can’t be assed

Peps a very clever guy.

Bernardo is amazing but Pep is always looking to improve.

We have never had an offer for Bernardo from Barca and Pep has made that public. Why would he do that?

Maybe he thinks FDJ works better in his system? Mindful Bernardo wants out?

FDJ is a Rolls Royce of a player as we saw last night. Having said that so is Bernardo but perhaps he is not as strong as FDJ in that midfield role.

If anyone can spot a flaw it's Pep, he works with them everyday and it won't have made him happy Bernardo has agitated a move. If a swap deal could be done. I for one could see the sense in how both clubs benefit.

Pep can't lose in this situation. If Bernardo stays, he will be respectful and continue to be the great player he is but if Barca stump up the finance and FDJ, it's occurred to me Pep improves his situation maybe his system?

Pep seems ro be very cleverly pushing Barca and there will be a reason for that, there always is.

It won't suprise me if a swap deal is on with a small amount of money coming our way by the end of the window.
It would absolutely boil over the rags if it happened too!

Let's see.

Very annoying comments from Pep. Seems that being at Barca has made him forget he's not employed by them.
I get pelters for saying it but the top brass at City - including the manager - definitely have a touchy-feely approach when it comes to Barcelona and, though they've all done amazing work at City it really pisses me off.

We all know the reasons. They want to keep Barcelona sweet in case they want to get the band back together in the medium term future.

It fucks me right off. You work for us.

The pep quotes just strike me as the types of quotes players give when at home on international duty.
Its like they forget what they say will still be quoted back home and talk to please their local media and hosts.
However when they return it all gets put back to normal again.
Fully expect “he will be here” types of quotes from pep on friday when he gets asked about it by our media.

Pep knows full well they can't afford to buy Bernardo. Jules Kounde was playing tonight because he can't play official games for them as he's unregistered!

So he knows there's 0% chance of this move happening, which allows him to take a very sympathetic stance towards it in public. He's not refusing Bernie his move and forcing him to stay, and he's not refusing to do business with Barca. It keeps him on side with everyone.

Everyone, apart from the fans of the club he works for, it seems?

It`s the feeling I have for the situation.

It's nonsense, and there is absoloutely no evidence barcelona are treated differently than anyone else. It's pretty daft to suggest Khaldoon and the owners would tolerate it.

It was an incredible start to the window but it's all gone a bit Pete Tong.

The LB area is still not right for me, Walker is starting to be concern and the injuries to Phillips are an issue if they continue and he does have history in that department.
we've had a terrible window . we are miles weaker .

Why are people still discussing this? We have the actual CEO saying it's not happening this summer yet you're still posting links from fucking Romero?

It's all just pointless noise.

Could also have said that Bernardo won't be moving this summer, like Soriano did before the game - presumably because of a lack of offer AND time to find whichever replacement they want. I doubt Bernardo thinks that Soriano is refusing him a move or that Barca think that Soriano is refusing to do business with them.
