Ah, yea, Barca got some real money to spend this summer. Will be surprised if they can even register Gundogan

When you read about Barca, Real and United it's almost like the Curse of City has come upon them.

'She look'd down to Camelot.
Out flew the web and floated wide;
The mirror crack'd from side to side;
'The curse is come upon me,' cried
The Lady of Shalott.'

Oh dear, how sad, never mind.

Ridiculous, isn't it. Is there any update on how much we've received yet? I Know last year it was reported that we'd only had a couple of million off them, but presumably they've paid further instalments since?
Think it’s still about £40m mate. Unbelievable.

Bernardo was never going to end up at Barcelona this summer. I always assumed it was going to be PSG, until the Saudis came. Now I am doubtful. But I do wish he gets his deeply desired move after being the most dedicated servant to the club, and makes us seriously compensated in the process. I assume his replacement is where we “splash the cash”.

I will say, though, that I wouldn’t oppose a deal that involved FDJ coming our way if the rumor on the BBC site had any truth to it.

as much as id like to believe this we have had the same sort of stories every eyar for the past few summers and they always do register/sign players......
Just ilke the Rice "delay/faltering deal" when going to Arsenal.....it was always going to happen...its just media creating more stories to fill more gaps - its all bollocks

I don't understand the repeated claims that Barcelona owe us most of the money for Ferran Torres. With any transfer there is a legally binding agreement for payment(s) to be made either immediately or within a set time frame and if that doesn't happen then the buying club can be sanctioned by FIFA. The notion that the club is just patiently waiting for Barca to pay up at some unspecified point in the future when they feel like it makes no sense.

They have 2/3 more years to pay up the deal was a 12 month delay before first payment of around €12m think another payment is due this year too

Another summer and he’s not going anywhere because imo. Will be lucky to get the PSG or Saudi move. Let’s see who puts up the €80m

You have to admire the cheek of assuming we might loan him to a club that hasn't paid for the last player they got from us.
And why the fuck would we want to do them such an enormous favour? when its very apparent,just like the other cartel cunts,they would see us dead and buried at the first opportunity.

This is a fucking life lesson for all these clubs.

What makes you think they aren’t simply paying on the drip like happens with 99% of transfers?

That's exactly what they are doing - paying to a pre-agreed schedule.

My point was that quite a few posters seem to be under the impression that Barca aren't doing that but instead they are refusing to pay up.
