The BBC have been in touch this morning with Derek Partridge and have confirmed they will be in attendance on Sunday - to interview players, officials, etc.

City officials have also confirmed that a 'signed' shirt has been donated by the club which will be raffled on the day of the game!! Excellent news!!

Anybody know whether Moonchester will be making an appearance ? My daughter wants` to see him but I don't really want to take to a proper match yet, I swear too much and get drunk.

I'll check with City in the morning and try and post a reply on here!

Channel M also planning to attend.

An article written specially for the programe by the 'Trautmann Foundation'
St Helens Town 'Hall of Fame' article about Bert
Man City Centenary Supporters Association - Sierra Leone project
An introduction to both teams (Pen Pictures, history, etc)
plus lots more . . .

As well as previously the mentioned a 'reprint' of couple of programmes from Bert's time as a POW and at St. Helens (final game for Town v Bangor City, 1 October 1949)

If you'd like a copy they are just £1.50 (£2.00 with postage). Send cheques payable to 'St Helens Town AFC' to:

I will also speak with Manchester City about having a small number placed in the club store?

Spoke with City officials yesterday afternoon and after some checking I'm afraid 'Moonchester' won't be in attendance - he's been in Abu Dhabi and was already committed to another event on Sunday! (Busy mascot!!)

If the Moonies don't go I will have to pull out :(

Programmes printed, commemorative Medals and Trophy collected this morning, players all ready . . . hopefully the forecast for a bit of sunshine tomorrow comes true. Don't forget the ticket office will be open in the morning at COMS and turnstiles open at 12 noon for a 1pm kick off.

Let's hope we get a good turn-out - there's been plenty of publicity in the papers, radio, websites, forums, etc and many thanks to all those who have supported the build up to the event.

Thought it was more like an average ressies turnout, 300 or so but either way it was a poor crowd.

Good to see some of the old lads turning out, Andy Dibble, "Dissa" Pointon, Ian and David Brightwell, Peter Barnes, Kenny Clements and a well worked goal by Frank Carrodus who looked about the same weight as when he played, and one from Andy May who definitely isn't the same weight!!

St Helens won 6-5 btw.
