Got to say that , other than the thought that the rags went down , i didn't enjoy that day one bit ...... you could just sense that it was gonna kick off as the game wore on , and when it did it wasn't very pleasant , that fighting in the scoreboard paddock was bad to say the least ..... wasn't particuarly nice after the game either!
We hardly even celebrated the goal .....

other notable games - the spurs 5-2 ( i lost my virginity 2 hours later with a student in Owens Park!) and the Birmingham game where i think fat bob scored - great atmosphere - alos Liverpool in teh cup in 1989 - lost 4-0 fantastic atmosphere, sunderland 3-2 - respect to sunderland for an incredible following.
So many happy memories.
Its either this one or the Cup winners Cup match v Shalke 04. Was with all my mates at the back of the Kippax for the latter. Very special memories as I couldn't get to the final and if my memory serves me right it wasn't even live on TV, Just like we didn't make match of the day in 68 when we won at Newcastle. Grief as I was there this must be the one to match Aguerooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Yes even more memories. Derby at the swamp was horrific. Holt end as Powers free kick floated in was magic, Tommy Booths header against Everton was also good. Correct. The atmosphere was poison. I was only 13 and went on the bus with 3 mates ( first derby there without my dad) just glad to get home in one piece!
Ipswich Semi was one of the best for me.
